Late to the party, I know, but anyone else have trouble on the "Keep your eyes on the prize" mission? God bless, that was retarded to do as melee only. And I'm sure just being level 4 didn't help wonders either. Eff you Nipton, I'm sure you were a bad town before those Legion fellas got there regardless.

also, found 2 ways of getting power armor training, again minor spoilers

in the BoS bunker, talk to the head paladin. he'll tell you he wants the current elder out, and tell you how to help him. talk to the people he tells you, fix the virus in the computer, get the records, then return to him. go to the elder, do his 2 recovery missions, go back to the paladin. blah blah blah at some point you'll get something about  the oath that binds, go to the head knight and get his go ahead for the databank access. go back to the head paladin, tell him about it, repeat the 2 dialogue options and he'll dismiss the elder for breaking oath. wait a few days, he'll be the elder, and you can join the brotherhood and get armor + training after a quick mission.


OR


do arcade gannons quest, you gotta get 5 of his "friends" back together and at the end you get power armor training, and if you pass a speech check on gannon and convince him to stay with you, you get some power armor

Oh. Well. That would have made things a WHOLE lot simpler.

1. Acquire Stealth Boy
2. Visit the Van Graffs
3. Steal everything
4. ???
5. Win at life

Is there a way to have the NCR win at the end or would that be done through like...Taking out Mr. House? End up talking down the Legion and then winning it for Mr. House, though I wanted to see about winning it for the NCR.  This next playthrough will be to take over Vegas I think.

Freeside, directly East of Vegas.  They run an energy weapon store, and they have a ton of the best possible weapons just sitting on counters, including a Plasma Caster, Tri-Laser Rifle, and Multiplas Rifle.

yeah if you take out house and take over vegas you can decide which side to fight, or just kill them both

deathclaws just need careful planning, i always position myself so that there's a choke between me and them, and fill that choke with mines. if my first shots miss, then KA-BLOOOIE

ofc if you're caught by surprise then you're basically dead

really need a mod that makes dropped explosives explode when shot so i can use dynamite instead
