APB seems to like to freeze up my system after an hour or two, but I gave the Criminal side a try.  Overall either one is fine.  I know there isn't exactly levels, but what else is there do for missions and what not?  I mean running away from folks and chasing others down is alright...But what is there for the long term?

dunno but it's fun as fuck right now

edit: plus i know there's more stuff in the full game as opposed to this beta/demo, why else would they give people just 10 hours in the action districts?

once i realized this, i became a lot more optimistic about my clothing choices in the full game. i really want a blazer.

The developers have said that the game is meant to be a vehicle for chaotic player versus player competition. They have also said that they are looking at this as a long term project and are going to be refining that experience as time goes. Right now there is pretty fun chaotic PvP competition. I'm hoping for riot events though.

im hoping for larger scale battles , 3v3 or 4v4 is p cool , but im talking like 20 vs 20

If you get it through steam it installs the launcher and then the launcher installs the game files. But some people have been experiencing a bug that effs up the install.

I set up the download to run from the APB website and that bombed out as well, several hours in. I will probably read through the forums when I get home; try to see what I am doing wrong here.

I didn't have any problems downloading through the patcher, aside from how long it actually took ..
patcher was good at resuming from where i left off if i needed to close it for work , or when my router crapped out

maybe try running the launcher as admin
that always caught me on the sc2 beta patches

i accidentally bought a new cop car, it's kinda ugly and non-customizable, but it's faster than the starting cop car, has seats for four, and is a mobile resupplier, so it sounds like it kinda rapes compared to the normal cop car, much less the terrible ones we hijack

not going to be around tonight ,  that last SS is pimp. even though we fucking sucked that mission cause of badtruck.

i was trollin the official forums today while working and found a couple relevant threads.

for launching through steam , and getting overlay to work check here

and @negate i dont have the thread handy , but your crashing issues last night may have been caused by the physX shit. try uninstalling and reinstalling with the one that came in the installer.. i think there's a folder ..  ya D:\APB North America\TPI\PhysX
