Thursday Mod Nights - 8/05 - The Hidden: Source

So the first mod for the revived mod nights will be~ The Hidden: Source!

I saw a lot of you really wanted to play this, so I'm glad it won the coin toss!

For those of you unfamiliar with the mod, a team of highly trained operatives (IRIS) have been sent in to stop an evil super-human experiment (The Hidden). Team IRIS have a fair little armory of weapons and items to use to their end, but the hidden has almost perfect invisibility, the ability to climb and pounce from walls, as well as a sharp military grade knife, and 3 pipe bombs!

The Hiddens attacks are stealthy, swift, and fatal. Who will win this struggle? Show up and find out

edit:ah yeah when you launch Hidden , if you dont have Source SDK Base 2006 it'll make you download it

Depends on the mod, just to be safe if you don't have them I would get the Base SDK and the Orangebox SDK. Hidden does not use the Orange Box engine, but it wouldn't hurt to play it safe.

pvk is mostly melee combat, which might be ok

EXCEPT IT'S IN THE SOURCE ENGINE

my issue is theres no tutorial or anything that tells you which direction of attack counters which block, so i basically just swung wildly hoping something would work

Alien Versus Predator is basically a much better, fleshed out version of PVK with some racial abilities thrown in there. Tons of melee and countering, but in an engine that doesn't suck for that sort of thing. That said, I don't see how you could hate PVK that much James, you got to be a fucking PIRATE with an attack parrot ffs

hey if you dont know all the sfiv combos then i dont know what to tell you, maybe you shouldnt play games NOOB  b)

oh and if you dont know all the ins and outs of an undocumented feature, well...

edit: okay well i did find some documentation, still doesnt tell you what the effing counters are

Well, I'd like to think tonight went well! Full server, had some old and new faces there, and there was much shotgun rage

K2 was the only Hidden to actually win with the full on server (I was second, seeing as I was killed by the last person a live, mid air >:C  )

I hope everyone had fun, and thanks for coming out!
