Kotaku has a huge review up for it, and it pretty much says it will compete with the wii remote and the launch library feels strong.

And with all the different packages, it's definitely not as expensive as kinect (which doesn't appear to work anyways, lol).

Anyone else interested in at least trying this?

Pretty much like the Wii, I see very little reason to see motion controls as being anything else other than a gimmick.  They don't make games better and they take games that otherwise would be dull as hell and make them at least playable...Not that great of a thing.  Nothing I've seen has said much otherwise.

One of the only reaaaaally good uses of the wiimote that I've seen is Elebits. Konami sucks so bad for not promoting stuff like that ;_;

Also wiimotes are decent for point and click and lightgun games but other than that I'm not a huge fan.

playstation move is a gimmick to try and regain control of market share

inb4 nintendo demolishes the other companies in next-gen by...
a. good graphics (comparable with other next-gen consoles)
b. controller and accessories will not cost over $60 to play a game
c. more good launch titles
d. more third party support by then

i cant wait

I guess those kinds of odd games might be able to actually bring an interesting use to the motion control, but personally I haven't seen it, even in the big hits that would draw people in like Super Mario Galaxy...Legend of Zelda...or shooters like Resident Evil 4.  RE4 being the only game that has play on another console, it felt like a downgrade to use the wiimote to aim and fire, compared to a controller and the other two games just didn't seem like "Wow.  I'm glad this has motion control".  More often than not, I was wanting a comfortable, fitting, controller that had perfect feedback and didn't involve me swinging my arms about to use.

*EDIT*
I'm hoping for alot from Nintendo in the next gen.  I just want to see a proper console that is up to current standards with a regular controller and a better supply of games.

3DS has a better launch lineup than most consoles I can think of. Even if they don't make another home console for a few years I'll prolly be pretty content with that.

I need to see it first before that lol The launch list wasn't that mindblowing for me, so it's gonna have to be pretty damn interesting and the 3D THAT awesome for me to even consider it.

Elebits was awesome, so underrated....

And after the hype of the Wii died down...its great for some games, not so great for others...and no it snot the motion that's good its having a fucking pointer that's clutch. Having the IR pointer for Metroid Prime 3, arrows in Zelda, or the guns in things like Conduit, made a shooter much more tolerable on a console for me.

I will concede that sports and such is extremely fun if you have it for a party, and I'm sure they'll have similar games, but for the price you'd be paying compared to the Wii, I don't see it stealing much market share.

Edit: I echo Pinchy, 3DS will likely kick some serious ass, just like the DS has, the 3D effect I can take or leave, but as long as I dont have to wear any goggles, its a win in my book.

Well reading up on it, it is interesting to see that the Move is at least better than the Wii in terms of quality aiming and movement.  I'd have to give it some serious trial to even consider it, but it needs alot more games.  Two shooters, one I've already played (MAG), isn't all that enticing.

There are patches coming out for support for older games like Killzone and Heavy Rain.

Well I didn't like Killzone too much and I'm never touching Heavy Rain.

Eh, might not be for you...yet. I think it has tons of potential, and they've already showed off the specs a lot. I'm fairly sure the basic package comes with some physic demos or something.

I've been way more interested in Move than Kinect (I prefer my game controllers to have some tangibility to them), and both have great potential, but regardless the current game lineup for both systems is pretty shit in terms of actual new or unique experiences .

IMO Nintendo is going to continue on down its casual gamer path. That's who's making them rich.
