Wasn't this supposed to be set like 6 months after P4? If this thing has a story, how did Souji end up back in Inaba/

He took a vacation.

And he actually had a canon name? I just had it as Frank Carver. If I had know he was like Link, I would have stuck with the original.

Edit: And technically, couldn't he just use the T.V's to quick travel back to Inaba?

Well, after the end of the game [spoiler]everything just returns to a clear sky/open field/lake sorta vista, so I'm not sure if the TV world would actually work anymore[/spoiler] then again that picture takes place on that same stage they first fell into, which confuses the hell outta me. Is this game canon or not? ???

Also, Souji Seta was his name in the manga adaptation and percieved as his actual name. Though what's odd is that in the upcoming anime adaptation he's named Yu Narukami which doesn't ma- yeah nothing about anything makes any sense.

story in fighting games totally matter right guys. seriously look at fucking blazblue the first game ends and the 2nd game is basically repeating itself over and over until the "right" thing happens or something i don't fucking know. who cares if its canon or not i'm not going to play the story mode any more than i need to to unlock characters. it's probably going to be a really bad storymode anyway.

[/quote]yes, but that's because it didn't take itself seriously. the main story was taking itself seriously. Street Fighter stories don't take itself seriously (well, depends on the character. Almost all the "heroes" stories take themselves seriously but characters like, Dan, Blanka, etc. don't.) Hell in SF3 Akuma's ending is him cutting a submarine in half with his fists. Why? Because he fucking can.
