so i guess if you order one of wow's annual passes (year subscription that you can choose to pay in monthly installments, unlike the bundles before which you had to pay a flat rate when you made the subscription order) you get a free copy of diablo 3

EXCLUSIVE: Diablo III Demon Hunter Spotlight Video

New video out by IGN about Demon Hunter. After playing the beta with all the classes i'll probably put DH at third priority. Barb and Wizard are way too much fun to play.

though, blizzard's shift to always connected shit drives me mad-  I bought SC2 about a month before deploying "oh it has a guest pass so you can still play offline"  Yeah fucking right, I have played SC2 Zero times since deploying.

same thing happened to me. Oh look no offline mode.. Uninstalled 60 dollars pretty much wasted

Maybe you should try crying less and trying harder, you can play SCII without an internet connection just fucking fine. And not using guest passes or guest mode either!

Played the beta, solid gameplay as expected, but was underwhelmed by the graphics. Probably gonna wait for a sale or something.

I know what you're talking about Trace. Models and textures are all very polished, but it does look like the engine has been around for a while. I'm happy with what I've seen in the beta, but I can't help but feel a little haunted by it's quest/checkpoint driven plot. Shades of WoW: Rushing you through to the next and the next and the next.

Starcraft 2 is still $50+ everywhere I've seen it.  No way you'll get Diablo 3 on sale within 3 years.  I would say at least 5.

Honestly I wasn't really amazed by the game so I don't mind, and there is always the chance of finding it on the high seas  Wink

I've still got MAJOR reservations about the required server connection and Blizzards proven inability to provide it under stress.  I'm thinking about just sticking with torchlight 2... it'll be like 20 bucks, be on par graphically, and work offline.  The downside is torchlight never felt nearly as epic, a little more grindy, and the story was lackluster.  I'm hoping they hit a homerun with the second one.

for good reason. I played it for 10 minutes. It kicked me off, and then I had to procede to login again and play from the very beginning. I said fuck that shit and haven't touched it since. I like Torchlight anyways.

So, according to Kotaku, it only took 300K people to break the Beta, which I'm going to hazard is less than 10% of how many people are going to be trying to play at launch.

Wowwww. I mean, how many people actually downloaded the beta, and how many were they expecting? I mean, they had to have known a lot more than 300k people were gonna hop on the open beta. Hope it's sorted in a few weeks' time. I mean, it's not like they don't have any experience operating millions of dollars worth of servers or anything... Though that Panda beta is in pretty piss-poor shape server-wise too..

[/quote]don't forget the glitch that multiplied warlock's stats by 100 effectively giving them 1 million HP and allowing them to kill anything in the opposing factions capitals.

Yea.... at least those sorts of bugs lead to some hilarious shenanigans though. RIP 1-million-dps Seal of Truth 2012
