Eyup. They know what's up. They'd give me a nod of acknowledgment, and admit that their friends can be a "mite bit tiring." They wouldn't come out and say it, but deep down, I'd know what they meant.

aka applejack has the shallowest character. The dress making episode shows why rarity is the best friend. She worked tirelessly to do what her friends wanted instead of protecting the well being of her career. applejack just talks about apples and country living. no depth.

I'm surprised with the intolerance of people who doesn't like MLP. Saying you like it isn't like coming out of the closet, it's just admitting you like a show that isn't intended for for you section of the target audience, that's all. It's the same thing when you were 13 and you still watched Blue's Clues (my case, for example).

We all know MLP is a show for girls, and i don't think any of us is on the limit of the absurd shown on some of 4chan's or Ponychan's boards (which would be acceptable to mock) with threads like "What kind of sex d you think X pony enjoys). The series is fun, well done, with great production, voice acting and humor. That's all i search on a cartoon. I don't care if the main plan was to sell more toys, the final result was good.

If we could put it in contrast, Pokémon is the same thing, except it's unisex on it's target audience. In Japan, they even have a weekly Pokémon show that's oriented for kids 5-13, with screaming, dumb talking and all. But the final result, the real product, the games, the anime (at least the new series) manages to get all kinds of ages, because the product is awesome.

That said, again, i agree that hardcore "bronies" should be mocked, put in a fire and let them burn. For that and misusing the word brony. Now being a brony means you're into that kind of threads... now all i can say is that i like MLP..

MLP is the new generation's powerpuff girls. I mean it IS made by the same person for people who don't know. Just because the protagonists are girls doesn't mean it's just for girls. My older sister loved TMNT when we were growing up.
