Generally accepted stance is you never do up the bottom button. The suit is cut based that assumption, and moves, looks, and feels better when it is worn as such.

Edit: As mentioned before, the shirt and tie is serviceable, I prefer brighter colours on younger guys; its representative of being fresh and vital.

When I wear my solid black three button would you recommend top one or top two buttons fastened? If it makes a difference I'm about 6'1 now and have a very thin frame.

It can make a difference, if the lapels overlap at the top button( due to narrow shoulders). Keeping it unbuttoned can keep it from crumpling. If that's not the case, I'd always recommend keeping center and top buttoned. Think of suit as presenting a car: you don't show it with the doors open, because you can't appreciate the lines.

Any darker shade Blue you like, it can be interspersed with silver highlights. I can also envision charcoal, if the occasion is a little more somber. Avoid hard contrasting colours. Two potential goals for this combo: Embolden the light blue against the black, or soften the black against the light blue.

Ties are generally an expression of the event and the person wearing it. With that being said, light blue under black doesn't exactly have a lot of friends in the colour wheel to compliment it.

I wish I could be at the tie table with ya mate, ties are the fun part of building an ensemble.

Okay, so a charcoal tie or a darker blue. Will do. All I have is a diagonal striped Black/silver, and a Orange/black/silver diagonal stripe. Also, with what matter said, a new dress belt is needed as well.

And I should've said, these are for my work term interviews. I can't afford a suit at the moment, so I'm rocking a Dress Shirt/pant combo.

The good overalls aren't hiding in Walmart. Look for a place around that specializes in safety equipment/work boots. Overalls made for a guy that actually works in them. Bodysuits though, I'm out of my depth.

a little too boxy, but can be adjusted for by pushing shoulders back a little more/chest out than you normally would, or a wide stance so it pulls at the middle when you're standing like you got in the second pic

Rookie, if you're really looking, you'll see its a 2 button with split vents. The suit is designed to flex at the waist. It looks exactly as its supposed to.
