I'll probably wait for the first price drop before getting this.  I'm more interested in the possibilities of this over the Wii, but it doesn't have a good game selection to me.  Nothing really interesting that is exclusive other than ZombiU right now to me.  Most of it just seems like 3rd party cross console stuff that I can just get on my 360 or PC or even PS3...or I already own like Batman, Darksiders 2, etc...

Hope we get a clarification on the different bundles today.  Weird bundle setup right there. Also the Premium black bundle has 32gb built in, the white cheaper bundle is at 8gb.

~350 for the premium doesn't seem too bad if the tablet controllers are indeed $175 separate and it comes with one

Also 4x as much memory on the console itself, which is handy.

I don't use my Wii much so I'm on the fence on this one. Full 1080P would be nice, would be supernice if they could do it backwards for older titles that only had 480P but I doubt they'll be able to simply run it at a higher resolution (fingers crossed maybe?).

That said, I'll probably pick up a black one after the first price drop as well, but only if I don't have to re-buy my WiiWare games.

So, games that aren't ports that are probably going to be worth getting

Pikmin 3
Wonderful 101 (formerly Project P-100)
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
Bayonetta 2
NSMB U if you're into that
Game & Wario
Rayman Legends
Scribblenauts Unlimited

Pretty reasonable pricing on it, though only like 2 or 3 games for the launch window that seemed interesting to me, so I'll definitely wait for more.

Well, you can put any HD you want in the PS3 from what I understand. I haven't needed to though because I really don't need more than 80 gigs of space.

The TVii thing looks potentially cool depending on how it actually works. Basically it looks like a unified GUI on the gamepad used for searching and browsing shows and movies across Netflix, Hulu, a DVR (although TiVo was the only one confirmed in the video), and live TV. Supposedly you can watch those shows (even live TV) on the gamepad separate from the TV/console as well. There wasn't much info given about how it actually works (such as steaming live TV), but it is something we haven't really seen from a home console before and could be really useful if it's done right.

It's confirmed they already have deals with all the major cable companies in the US and Canada, I believe.

You stopped?

Nintendo is still one of the best game publishers, second in my mind only to Valve

I didn't get into the Gamecube too much (though it did have games I liked) and I was pretty disappointed by the Wii.  I'm just not a fan of motion controls and probably never will be.  I do like the gamepad and it's uses in like ZombiU I saw, though I'm still wary of it.  Waiting to see more games that get me excited.  Another 2D Mario game that looks like the past couple ones isn't all that exciting to me which really only leaves ZombiU at launch.  Need a few more titles that are a must have for me.

And for the Sony bit, doesn't the Vita run on proprietary and overly expensive SD cards?

I would say for a definite pickup at launch title would be Rayman Legends, although I don't know if it will be shipping the same day as the system. It would fill the 2D platformer role with a really cool multiplayer aspect

Oh definitely, I'd pick up Legends before NSMBWU just due to how much fun it looks and the fact that I still haven't beaten NSMBWii.

Also, if I get this at launch, or whenever, definitely picking up the premium bundle. Nintendo Land actually looks like a pretty fun time-waster, and the WiiU Pad charge cradle looks like something I'd like to have,

It annoys me a little that they don't include the two bits of plastic that make up the cradles in the cheap bundle as well. Really, is that going to break the bank for you, Nintendo? It is slightly reminiscent of Sony not including an HDMI cable with the OG PS3. I realize they're trying to add value to the premium bundle, but you'd think they could do better than two bits of plastic.

I pre-ordered from Best Buy for local store pickup.

I hope I don't regret this.

I guess Gamestops across the nation are sold out of preorders already, but I heard managers are saying they cut them off early until they can get a better idea of how many there'll be shipped out from Nintendo.
