Don't know whats saddens me more, that or Mario bros last name is not Mario as well.

in the user Manuel of Mario 3 it said they were but as time passed & Bowser Jr appears, seems like they got disown out of the family.

My world isn't exactly crumbling down around me, but I guess with Bowser Jr., some revisionist history needed to happen lol I always sort figured them to be his kids without knowing they were supposed to be that in SMB3.  Now it just makes them out to be Koopa henchmen? I don't know, kinda weirdly changes something about them.

It's like being a kid and finding out Santa isn't real XD

Honestly I think the biggest thing I took from that interview is that Miyamoto knew the script for the Mario Bros. movie... and still let it be made. My respect for him has declines mildly.

The other question being....who did he have kids with......Peach?

Maybe he's just trying to get his wife back and got stuck with the lava filled part of the mushroom kingdom in a messy divorce. Mario is just around to keep enforcing the restraining order.
