Take into consideration that the beta was actually a build older than what was shown at E3 or GamesComm (It was the most recent stable extended play build they could get, and all they wanted to do was stress test the battlelog and blaze servers. Not show anything graphically really, and it wasn't even up to date weapon balances either.

i understand that but if you do a beta it can be very make or break and for me it was the latter. Unless i see significant changes in overall gameplay and some mechanics as of release i may not play.
Also i have a decent backlog of other games that i have been building recently that i intend to play

Over all performance was impressive for me but that's about it.    You better make every BRBU an admin from the get go.    I'm getting tired of the same aim bots being used with the same class.    Get on a building,  run support class,  LMG,  Head shot the entire map with endless amounts of ammo.      rinse,  repeat.

I did like the ammo balance in vehicles but still seeing a lot of camped out situations.    If I can hover above your starting point waiting to Lolrocketspam, as you pick your vehicle of choice, back to the drawing board for me.  Given it's still one beta board ,  I just doesn't seem like that's been taken into consideration which is difficult for me to swallow.

Once admin utilities are available that will be applied, all whom I trust as admins who have the game will get it ;-) and I trust all but maybe 2 of you... and I won't name who... :p

Also, server is ordered :-) it will be up on launch day. It has max slots :-)

Any worries about that punkbuster program? Hear that it runs when the game is not & snoops around on your pc & takes screen shoots of what your doing.

Punkbuster does take screenshots at random, however it will only do so when a game it is enabled for is running and the focused screen (they had a lot of scrutiny on this in the past and they've heavily emphasized this fact for years now).

Anyway, got bored, threw together a simple wordpress page on NFO Hosted web space, since, you know... it's free with their servers. Figured I'd put rules on there for server (they'll be posted here as well).

I will need people's profile pages so that I can apply admin properly once admin systems are launched for BF4.

Easier or harder to admin than BC2 was?

ehh... probably about the same, BC2, BF3, and MOH: Warfighter all had a Frostbite 2/2.5 rcon API which things like Procon used or BigBrotherBot (as it is a hosted server and we don't have direct access to it we won't be able to make use of big brother bot though).

I will most likely be getting procon layer hosting, procon is the best option for advanced admin items. There is stuff NFO provides, but I don't know if it will be up to date, the NFO Admin features are a bit limited.

Either way, I will need either GUID's or PBID's and profile pages so that I can make sure admins get applied properly once I am able to start setting them up.

If BF4 has the server banner systems that BF2, BF: BC2, BF3 and MOH: Warfighter all had, I'd like to have a banner for the BF4 server using the banner of ours on the main page. I know we have artists around. Or you know, could come up with a new one.

Resolution for predecessors is 512 x 128 (if they don't updated it for BF4, I would recommend a higher resolution with intend to resize smaller when designing in case they have changed it)

Xen likes BF4

For Caff.  Xen has never played a BF game since 1942 and after 5 mins of him gunning my choppa,  He's already pre-ordered.

1: Client Side Anti-Cheat is the most effective means
2: Punkbuster is crap, but they did at least add screenshot systems (which is nice).
3: BF4 has fairfight, I won't be enabling it because it's a heuristic stats based anti-cheat, which is so godaweful, some players are legitimately that good, don't handicap them.

Back to #1, I have only ever seen one anti-cheat work well, and it was client side and preventative, it used the same methods cheats used to hook client dlls and essentially just "closed the holes" that most cheats would try to use. It worked fantastic, too bad because of it's method it usually got detected by other scan based anti-cheats as a cheat...

So, got bored, put together a donation panel on the bf4 page, all pages will now show current total donations, as well as a graphical representation percentage wise pointed towards total cost.

http://brbu.site.nfoservers.com/wordpress/donate/

I just need to add one more tab to point people to the forums. Then that page is pretty much done.

Donate page points straight to the NFO Account Donations page in an iframe. So if anyone feels like being awesome and not sucking you can always help out if you want (it's not straight up to my paypal so you know I can't just pocket it).

Okay guys, game is launching on Tuesday, I'm out of town from tomorrow until Monday evening, that being the case, start posting the links to your origin profiles for BF4 once possible, so I can configure admins.

I will try to make sure the server is launched and configured at 0 Hour (to the best of my ability).
