I finally have almost enough cash to build a new PC and return to PC gaming after months away.  Please critique my build. I made it with some assistance from Rilnac at the beginning of the summer, so it may be a little out of date.

Every component is one generation outdated but a great choice for your budget (assuming that the price is your budget)

You might want to get a 3570K instead (assuming you don't have the resources to jump to Haswell) along with a cpu cooler (Cooler Master Evo 212). The case you have listed there is good, but don't be afraid to pick something else based on aesthetic preferences. As always, check Newegg for combos. There are usually some nice ones around for RAM and mobos. You can also save money by going for a less powerful PSU. Something ~600W should be more than enough.

$13 more can jump you up to 16GB of ram as well, of the same speed.

I second that. Get 16GB if you can. 8GB can be limiting at this point.

Yeah I should have mentioned my budget is $800, unless there's a nice upgrade for slightly more expensive.  Call it $850 max.

I don't disagree, but I think there are better ways I can be spending my budget right now. Next paycheck I'll definitely pick up a 1 TB HDD and maybe more RAM.

2 sticks at 8 GB each taking you to 16GB, or wait until next pay check and pay another $67 for another 8 GB... I personally would deal with the $13 blow now.

Exactly. You'll be flushing money down the drain if you buy the RAM in parts.

If money is tight, downgrade the PSU (that 900W one should be able to power two identically set up PCs) and go for a cheaper case.

So where is this $83 Ram that you mentioned?  The cheapest I'm seeing for 16 gigs is ~$100.

Newegg sales come and go quickly. You can't check a sale item a week and a half later and expect the price to be the same.

The computer's been up and running for a few months now, but now I finally got the setup I was aiming for.
