ACEN 2014 - Rooms & Planning

Been meaning to put this thread up since thanksgiving, but I think a planning meeting for all of the rooms is in order so we can sort through things.

- Max slot(s) in your room for others
- Event Plans for this year (Thursday Bar Outing, Sat Chicago Trip, Cosplay Groups)
- Rule changes from last year (if any)
- Party planning & Suite/Room size
- Community Fund (if we need one)

I bought my pass, and if you are wanting a mumble meet-up, 14th works best for me.  Don't know my work schedule for the 21st yet.

If you already have a room you can always tack on nights easily, I would highly recommend people do Thur - Sun if possible for 3 nights

Got a room booked, Thurs-sun double (though I may be forced to go Fri-sun or transfer my reservation).

14th, anytime works for me. Later is preferable though.

I've got a room booked (King) Thurs-Sun. If Mrs. Dtrain ends up coming with me then nobody will be allowed in. If she doesn't then I will be able to open up floor space.

14th is sketch because I'm supposed to go out on a date night with the lady, 21st would be better for me personally but I can always read the notes.

I've got a 'Two Double Beds With Balcony - Upgrade' booked from Thursday night through Sunday. Not sure if my lady will be attending this year, so I'm definitely going to be taking up half of one of the beds, not sure about the other bed space but the floor (and the balcony for a cottent) will be open.

My sister's law school graduation is on the Saturday of the con itself, so I'll probably be busy with that for a lot of that day.

[/quote]It is, three years ago the same sister graduated from Marquette (BS in Psych/Crim/Prelaw) on ACEN weekend, so I missed the whole con. What an inconsiderate bitch, right? This time she's graduating from Loyola (JD), which is in town, so it's not so bad. Plus my dad's already dead, so there's no 'this is the last time he's probably going to leave the state' feels going on like there was last time.

I have a double, check-in Thursday, check-out Sunday. Can't do the 14th, 21st is okay for now, but my weekends have been pretty packed lately, so it wouldn't surprise me if something comes up.

Pie confirmed that he does indeed have a double, so I am not concerned about space anymore.

If you are coming, please confirm by commenting in this thread and the day that you plan on arriving. I can then start assigning people out to rooms.

I am confirmed attending. My room is currently set to Thursday through Sunday. However, I may have a schedule conflict that could be a problem (might arrive Friday instead), will update when I resolve this.

My room is currently at 5 people, I am afraid I can't open it to BRBU people.

I will try my best.  It hinges on whether I can miss a day of a May-semester class (reasonably sure it won't be a problem, it's a "creative expressions" class) and I will also need some travel-aid.

I really want to come but I doubt I will be able to say for sure for a few months. At this point I don't even know what city I will be flying out of in May.
