The SteamOS is released (or the beta of it anyway)... it requires a whopping 1TB of space!

So... yeah... there it is

It says 500GB, which I can't imagine is an actual requirement.  Also only comes with nVidia drivers right now.  And the streaming part isn't in it yet, so I don't really care in any case.

it says 1TB on my screen.

Yeah you're right the streaming isn't part of it, but I'm still putting this on my laptop. I will be using the custom release, because it usees debian squeeze, since it uses debian squeeze I can probably get drivers for the AMD card on my laptop, it will just take a little more work.

HeK let us know when you decide to put this on one of your raspberry pi's :p

The way I read it, it's just the default installation that requires a 1TB disk for the image. The custom installation doesn't.

yeah I think you're right.

Anyway, I'll be putting custom install on my laptop soon (it's the only way I'll get AMD GPU Drivers onto the laptop), I'll let you guys know what I think.

I expect it to basically just be steam *nix auto-launch into big picture... and better stability...
