Certs.  I needs em, what's the best way to get em?

Dropped into a squad parked with a ton of Max AA and heavy infantry that was just farming an armor column and fighters outside some tr point, got over 20 in an hour, but that seems incredibly slow given the cost of upgrades.  Then moved to farming a point with jump pads, which went well until they dropped 4 full gals right ontop of us.

Gun my tank or learn to drive one

Appropriate substitute - gunning Elder's tank

Pay for membership if you haven't already.

Outside of that when I was not a member I found medic was great when you were in large foot battles. This can be boring as hell but most rezzes are worth the same as a kill. With a max medic gun you can rez really quick.

If your dealing with bio labs be an engineer with a mana turret and setup shop at a choke point. Most of the time people ignore you, just watch out for HA and snipers.

That covers most of my cert milking techniques. Tank gunning also requires being able to aim and prioritize targets if you don't want to be yelled at. Biolab farming requires finding a combination of good cover and a constant stream of unaware squishies if you want to use an engi turret or a heavy assault. Engi duty for repairing maxes and deploying ammo as well as reviving people as medic can be massively profitable as well.

A heavy needs backup that you're not going to get when running around solo. Thus, time spent dead as heavy is time that could be spent repairing as engie or medic.

Becoming a pro at sunderer positioning during big battles is also a fun way to farm.

Respectfully, I disagree. Solo HA can be a decent cert rate, but you need to work for it. Get a mid/long range LMG and do perimeter patrol. Aiming in is always better than aiming out. Carry regen packs, a Deci, and have a Nanoweave/Resist setup. You'll never lose a 1v1 at 30m unless your positioning is poor. I've pulled 40-60 certs/hr doing this, and I have no boosts. Taking to the field is also an option when rolling with the zerg; Everyone wants to pick a fight with a HA at 60m, until you show the error in their judgement. I'd recommend the HVA-88/Flare/Ursa/NS-15M for any of this, in that order, ranging from long to mid.

play medic and actually be a medic.

in big fights you dont even have to fight other players most of the time just get heal and revive points

Reviving people is like killing them with a never-miss gun and getting to kill them over and over.

after playing a couple nights i'm really surprised of the lack of fights to be found stretched across 3 conts.    When I found a prowlers I was like,  Yippee!  then I ate it with proton cannons.

Was kinda sad tonight.  Vanu had 40+% pop and TR and NC just gave up during Amp Station alert and fought eachother while we took 7 stations.  Also being an engy AV turret sniper from the upper ridges on Indar is funnest way to get certs, but probably not the best.  Also I realized I should probably play NC since clueless Mags would fold like paper instead of invulnerable Vanguards.  I wish the game tracked vehicle assists and kills at all, since that's what I spend half my time doing.

I missed the alert, stayed on indar, was lackluster there.  That reminds me, I'm going to read up on "SCUs: how the fuck they work"

SCU- spawn control unit
for biolabs, there is a shield generator that you need to take down to expose the SCU
for tech plants and amp stations, you need to cap the point and hold it till the base capture timer is at half total time needed to cap the base (think when TR/NC timer stops going down and VS timer starts going up) then the SCU shields go down.
once the SCU shield goes down you go and overload it, after its destroyed the enemy spawn shields go down and you can enter the spawn and kill all the campers.
With a destroyed SCU you can no longer spawn in that base.

HA can be pretty beefy on certs you just have to be active and make sure to shoot at tanks whenever possible

Tank assists net good XP and kills net a shit ton if you get one with two gunners and such in it (especially if they have lots of kills). The HA tends to outclass most other classes one on one too in fights so they are good for killin'

I've found in busy fights, engies are super awesome on certs. Lay down ammo packs+repair maxes/tanks, and shoot dudes on occasion. Its like constant +10-15 XP flow per second.

Being good in a tank is an awesome way to make certs as well. Again, a tank by itself is worth 450XP for the kill, which is almost 2 cert points. If it has a driver, thats +100XP. If a driver+gunner, thats +200XP. If the driver and the gunner have a ton of kills you might get 300XP from each on top of the tank kill.

The holy grail is a full sunderer full of extreme menaces (aka each player has a big kill/points streak). Sundy's get around 600XP for a kill, plus 12x300 for the passengers for a total of 4200XP for a kill, which is 16.8 certs. I'm pretty sure nobody has ever been this lucky before :V but that is what is possible! With alert XP bonuses (+20%) on top of winning an alert (worthless unless you stay 2 hours) on top a defense bonus (+15% at facilities) you can multiply this up even more without paying a dime.

Repair buddy for Maxes is nice.  I've gone on some pretty nice runs with Caff and a few others.

You don't get very much xp repairing a MAX.  It should give you assist points for every kill they get if you're active repairing them, like playing medic in TF2.

Also I got 13 kills in 3 minutes with an infantry turret setup on a biolab chokepoint a couple nights ago (plus at least that many assists).  Between the actual buffs they gave it, and the nerfs to nanoweave, it's pretty amazing for a default piece of gear.  You're pretty much invulnerable to anything but sniper shots, since AV is slow enough you can usually get out of the way at least.

The obscene tick rate on engi budying caff says otherwise.
