I dunno, I've been a huge fan of Rainbow Six, and Tom Clancy in general... but to me it feels like the games went downhill after Ubisoft bought Red Storm... (like I mean, Ghost Recon has been nothing but shit since the originals, RS: Vegas was arguably not RS... EndWar, HAWX... I don't even... Splinter Cell was good at first, now also crap)

Starting beta matches today, am no longer streaming because Ubisoft laid a copyright claim on the stream and I'm not allowed to stream at all (on youtube) anymore because of it... okay that kind of pissed me off.

Otherwise, the game itself is actually pretty fun

For those of you with Rainbow Six Siege Beta access, there is currently a relatively popular forum thread in the technical test forums actually asking the devs to push the beta back more. As general masses who got beta thanks to pre-order, humble, or nvidia may not be as understanding that "Beta" is still a "Test" I know everyone here actually understands that (or should), but I want to make you guys aware that this thread is gaining traction.

Well, confirmation e-mail from ubi, they definitely pushed the beta out today. Compared to the video I posted here are changes:

You can no longer reinforce doorway and window blockades (this is actually good as it forces you to think in a manner that allows you as a defender to force the enemy to take specific paths if you reinforce in specific ways).

The helo drop and all the stuff in that video was scripted may still be in final game, but not in now.

You can definitely breach like that, but usually it's a bad idea (leaves you very exposed).

The defenders can go outside but they'll be indicated on the attackers screens. (So not recommended unless you really need it).

Also floor breaches only seem to be possible with Thermite now

I haven't seen any sniper classes yet.

We don't have hostage rescue right now.

Otherwise the rest of the gameplay is pretty accurate still in that video.

What I like from this post:
"No Community Split" - "We've made the commitment not to sell maps and modes as we don't want to split our community. This means that all post launch maps & modes will be free"

"No pay wall on gameplay content" - "We've decided to have all gameplay content accessible via playtime. If you keep playing the game, you'll be able to access the post launch operators for free"

So the second one looks like it could be potential "pay to win" but ultimately this game's damage model makes pay to win... almost impossible
