Playing the Strikes (Raids) with friends is one of the most interesting things in the game. I've played Earth's and the Moon's with two friends and the challenge is amazing. And finally beating it is so entertaining and satisfying.

Crucible Matchmaking is horrible, but at least they give you EXP for trying to use it. It's a shame some of the best equipment is only available through Crucible points.

Destiny has a story? I thought it was an excuse to play Patrol or play the story missions to level up while you wait for your friends and then jump to do the raids.
Seriously, it was painful to read reviews blaming the faults on the story campaign when the main focus was to play the online part.

I really like the new vehicle centric crucible mode. Years of Planetside have taught me how to wreck infantry from a vehicle while staying alive, and also the reverse.

Been trying to farm vanguard rep so I can buy better armor, since I haven't had any luck finding drops with more light than my set currently has. How'd you guys level past 20?

Im thinking mid afternoon, 3ish. 

I'd only like two bring two 26s if possible.  There are several major level 27 spawns at the end that are troublesome with reduced damage. 

Trace, strike playlists.  And rep with vanguard really helped- i guess im so go good at grinding out rep from wow, i didn't even notice i was lvl 2 with them for a bit.

The queens wrath missions are easy legendary head and chest.

I've hit level 24 while still wearing all blues. Do strikes or grind the loot cave for gear upgrades. Just don't expect any random purples.

I dunno if I'm going to be able to join. I've played an unreasonable amount of time and can't find a single piece of gear better than what I have. I'm stuck at 23 and can't even do the queen's bounty missions because they are level 24.

What are your faction standings? I expect your best bet is to buy a faction rep item for whichever of the three secondary factions you like more, and get a set of their armor.

I get the Light system, but i'm still confused about the Marks system. I have no idea how to get them, no matter how many times I play in Crucible to get the marks there.

Also, anybody knows where to get the Queen's equipment to be able to get the Crucible Bounty?

Basically, the primary factions are the Vanguard and the Crucible. You get faction reputation and marks for doing patrols/strikes(for Vanguard) or playing PVP(for Crucible, or finishing bounties(for either). The three secondary factions are the New Monarchy, Future War Cult, and Dead Orbit. Instead of having activities to complete to gain reputation for them, you can buy a cosmetic item that makes all reputation gains apply to that faction. Any of the five factions requires you to have at least reputation rank two before you can buy any of their legendary gear.

Finally got a legendary from the queens bounty mission. Fuckin sweet, almost at 25 with an unupgraded chest armor.

I got the exotic helm from Xur and the chest from queen's wrath. So I'm level 25 now.  Unfortunately, still not high enough for the raid and I can't make it anyways due to work that came up.
