Looks like this was released as Free to Play from Trion Worlds.

Maybe it'll be their saving grace, but who knows.

If you already have a Trion or Glyph account, you can log into Glyph, click on "Store" and choose Archeage then click "Play" it will download the game for you.

Alright I'm on Enla, I'm starting as a Harani on Haranya

I played Rift endgame for about 6 months, Trion doesn't do a terrible job of keeping the game running smoothly, but they do have issues with class balancing. Flipside of it is they are huge fans of content updates, no shortage of shit to do/grind/participate in.

i played the closed beta for a while i found it to be a decent mmo. If i ever get my friends to put some time into it i imagine it will be a fun game.
In fact i thinks thats when i have usually had the most fun playing any videogame.
MMOs are usually forgiving especially early on and getting a group of 4+ people that you can casually chat with and progress through some of the early game slog can be a godsend.
MMOs to me are like playing a drinking game with friends you usually dont really have to pay attention to what you are doing you just chat with friends and have a good time.

TF2 and PS2 were like that but it took a bit more concentration and PVP made people more serious about the game

Okay, I must ask, is anyone playing this? If so, what server, and what continent did you start?

So I've been playing this a decent amount lately. I now want to start up a guild that essentially is a mafia. Because I've never really done that....

Trade routes and packs are a key component of earning in this game, you can cover trade routes... PvP areas and... Encourage people to pay protection... You know... From enemies...
