Post builds here, critique other people's builds

Looking into making an IS Heavy for the drop deck...I already have the Crab for assault, and a Cicada for Medium

I want something more energy-focused, as the Crab is AC/20 and can only last so long on the ammo

I like the TBR build better I think. Though with the Quickdraw, I'd drop the small laser and either add a heatsink or armor. With the range on the rest of your weapons, you won't be getting in close enough to use it much plus your SRMs should be plenty for short range punch.

Actually. If you move the SRM ammo to your legs, you can drop the Small Laser and the CASE. Then add a heatsink and uparmor your left arm and use that as your shield arm.

Hey, Dtrain, whats your Dragon 1N Build?  Or should I save for the 5N because Ultra AC quirks?

Lovely erppc perks And dual ams coverage is great for cw. They have to be the er version though. Plus erppc's don't have a minimum range so that instant armor stripping 20 dmg works great with the machine guns close range. Also one of the highest shoulder mounts in the game makes for elite peep sniping

This is the Jager I'm currently in love with for queuing. All the ballistics just scare the crap out of people and I can supplement them with chainfiring the ml's for quite a while or add a respectable burst of 20 Dmg.

Fuck LRMs!  I switched my Stalker LRM boat to this ER large laser boat and did 1030 damage first match.

Ok, well a lot of this focuses on Clan. Is IS really bad enough that most people only run clan for competitive stuff? Why the hell did we pick IS then? XD

Are there certain roles we're still lacking in? I think I'm going to focus on mastering either an assult or heavy first before I move on to med and light. I realize there are builds for different ranges in every weight class, but I was curious what sort of strategies you guys tend to run. Should I focus more on med to long range or are we in need of more brawlers?

If you can brawl, you'll be golden. You can be someone that the lights support and rally around.

use the metamechs 9s build imo, but in any case it's not as good as it used to be. erppcs and small pulse lasers/machine guns don't exactly synergize

for the jm6-s, if you don't want to do the double gauss build, try this http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=67&l=...2e3c71d80f

New Zeus. I just had a couple bad runs but apart from that I've averaged about 400 damage a match.
