Some of us are trying this game.  Our characters are on Uno.  Stay tuned for available guest passes.

To clear this up for everyone because it's confusing.  There are three servers, Uno is the new one and is at the top when you first login to make a character.  Within each server are 9 instances they call channels.  Once you make a character on a server you can move them from channel to channel, although apparently there is a cool down to keep you from flipping through channels.

Also I made us a clan, but I can only invite people into it by meeting them in person. We can upgrade to a guild much later, clans are best for us right now because they are free. Guilds cost money and have certain requirements to form one. They also grant perks like being able to pay guild members (I think it's the only way you can transfer resources directly to a player).

I have to admit, now that I've put some time in it I'm having a lot of fun. I may also be letting my toon auto-fish while working.

Also, here is a leveling guide to get to level 50 in 6-7 hours. However, it's only recommended for alts because you miss out on a lot of important stuff leveling this way.

Yeah, I was enjoying it a little more last night (hu).

Finally starting to get into some areas that I probably can't clear alone, and have a mission I need others to complete I believe (I'd have to re-read the details).

Nice to see your appearance is modified a little by the armor you find; not just running around in stockings and a shift anymore, got some actual BOOTS now.

I created a guild! Now we can do guild missions and I can pay you all salaries and we can get boats and elephants eventually. Don't worry about our guild being small, everything I've read seems to point to the fact that the game punishes large guilds with lots of inactivity and makes it accessible to small active guilds.  We will get offered guild quests according to our level (which is basically our size).  The guild quests are either combat (defend against mobs) or crafting/trading/harvesting.  Successfully completing a guild quest gives us money into the guild bank and xp I can use to give everyone in the guild passive buffs.  Once we get some money in the bank I will start everyone on a salary, which automatically changes based on your activity in the game.

Edit: Oh and can someone make us a guild icon?  60x60 px and .png format.

This was a pretty useful read on contribution points, nodes and how they work, etc.

So doing trade (as much as I have been doing) I ultimately have earned 250k silver +

So, here's what you do:
Use a donkey at first (they have a higher load capacity than horses).
Earn yourself about 40-50k and buy the cheap-ass 35k cart.

I have done the following:
Removed all housing
Fired all workers
Use my contribution points only for connecting nodes (main node paths are the only nodes I'm invested in with a few spares for me to invest in nodes when the value is higher there).

When you're in the trade vendor you can click on "Market Price" and it will show you the value of the item you're intending to purchase in other towns/villages/nodes. It only displays nodes you have discovered.

Yesterday I got lucky and was buying something at 80% market value from Velia and was able to sell it at a 200% value in Heidel. Huge markup earned me a ton.

My total gross is over 250k, as of this posting my net is at about 30k (but I only got my new cart a about an hour ago which cost me $180k , and a new horse at 15k).

Of course you'll need to travel from place to place visiting the trade vendors.

Also when you go to sell at a trade vendor you have the option to "bargain" which costs 5 energy (kind of expensive), but it will give you the opportunity to sell OVER the current market price, but it might fail (it will still sell at the original value intended anyway, so if it's 100% it will still sell at 100%) and it seems to be a random roll system based on what you choose but if you respond contextually you get a higher chance of success. Ultimately if you have significantly long routes that let you regen 5 energy per run then you should be good, but right now we haven't really gone beyond Heidel (and now I've hit Glish too) which isn't really that long a trip. Also, on bargaining, when you succeed it does NOT tell you what you additional bonus is.

You also get a bonus for the distance you traveled to sell the product.

Remember the node MUST be connected else you will take a 30% LOSS on the potential trade (which in most trades in the area we're in, without node connections ends up with a total of 5-15% losses every time you try to run a trade route), so make sure you connect your nodes when you trade. Sometimes I just invest to sell, then remove my contribution to be used at another node later.

The trade system is pretty cool. And if you set for long trips it's pretty solid for short AFK stuff.

I am now at >100k net thanks to some 200% profits from Velia -> Glish

A little trick with a carted horse. Before hopping on the horse set your destination on your map, THEN hit T, it should flip your direction, otherwise you have a very wide turning radius which ends up with you running into a wall repeatedly until you get your turn done, and there's no backing up with a cart.

Periodically you will want to change routes because particular goods can be sold out! Giving them a chance to replenish is important to keep a constant flow!

Also when you have a large enough cart, you may wish to make stops along the way to potentially pick up more product that you can sell at your end destination.

Lastly, even if you DON'T decide to dedicate as much time to trade running as I have done there's nothing wrong with picking up a trade pack when you're travelling from one main town to another, spend your energy to check market prices before buying then earn a little coin just for the fact that you're traveling.

Another update, my net earnings with my new cart (stopping partway through the day today because I had friends over) is more than 250k, officially doubled my money in just a few hours.

I think some people are dropping out of this when guest passes expire, but I will likely still be playing. It's a lot of fun and there is a shit load of things to do.

I bought in too, having a good amount of fun with it, plus with all the things that can be done AFK-style it's not bad to kind-of-play during my work day.

Speaking of, anyone want/need a trial pass?

I've decided to start sinking my AFK fishing money into a Grunil armor set. Gear can be shared among all your characters and Grunil is supposed to be the most flexible. It will also let me use those black stones I get occasionally. I also need to get a Yuria weapon for each class, but that's second priority. Although I might get one for my best farmer to speed up the process.
