Benito's new project: cp_fun

A soldier rocket jump race would be kinda cool. Have a bunch of corners and stuff? Maybe an area where you have to walljump up a little.

This is a LOT harder than it sounds cause you have to test all the jumps to make sure you can actually complete them

It's fun to have fun, but when I get freezebombed and admin slayed 2 or 3 spawns in a row that is just going too far. There is a difference in having fun and just being plain stupid for your amusement. Hell I even have fun when the admins drug me while I snipe...but when my playtime is completely disrupted constantly and teams start getting steamrolled because of admin powers it becomes no fun. I was pretty damn close to finding a different server to play on for the night.

That said, I've never seen much of a reason to have that plugin enabled. Yea, I guess it's fun once in a while, but I hear more complaints about it than anything else, so for now, just tell yourself "Duck hates fun" whenever you can't freezebomb, beacon, or drug other people.

It's only hard if you're making a *difficult* (read: high skill-level) rocketjumping/stickyjumping map, which likely is not what Benito would be aiming for in cp_fun. For the most part it should be plainly obvious what is and is not possible, and if you don't have the skills to do it, there are tons of people out there who are pro jumpers and willing to test jump maps for mapmakers (most don't know how to make maps, but love to give feedback/input into making jump maps). Case in point: Jump_speed has something like 30+ jumps, and I'd say close to half of them are designed by guys who are not the map-maker (each is named after said jumper/designer). And cownaetion doesn't really play TF2 (he played TFC, sticks to FF now), but with the help of a few people who *do* play TF2, he's made arguably the best soldier jump maps so far.

When I occasionally jump on #1 nowadays, there's always some "fun" going on. FF or low-grav or something. One of the reasons I steer clear.

Benito, I realize there are already tennis maps, but you should make one that actually fires a crit rocket onto the winning team's side (as a serve).

Seriously, if someone is abusing powers and fucking people up after you tell them to stop, you need to let the rest of us know.  All the drugs and shit are great when they're consensual.  But when they're not...
