my friend let me borrow his steam account to try out L4D to see it it runs on my POS rig. it is currently downloading at 64%
anyone wanna play a quick test match when it finishes?

i got on average 10 fps
...
i think its safe to say i will not buy this game till i get a new rig

This is kinda weird. I didn't think it required much more than TF2.

Its the number of animated stuff on screen, namely zombie hordes, while rendering the environment is fine when you have to draw 25+ zombies all of the sudden its gonna increase the resources used alot
