WARNING: Much EVE Online jargon in this post!!

The shield recharge rate is reduced by 24% and the cap recharge rate is increased by 35% for both the meta lvl 4 and tech 2 items. The CPU required is 16 for meta lvl 4, and 22 for tech 2.

It looks like the tech 2 item is cheaper by 1.7 million ISK, but the benefits of the meta lvl 4 item are slightly better.

The lesson to take away from this? Do not underestimate and dismiss the named items. Ever! In fact, some of them are better than the tech 2 variants! EFT or (my favourite) the fitter tool in EveHQ will help you find the best items for your ship.

In fact, I often fit meta lvl 4 weapons instead of the tech 2 ones, as the tech 2 bonuses aren't enough to counter the CPU/PG costs. (And frankly, tech 2 hybrid ammo just sucks big time!)

huh, usually it's the other way around,(meta level 4 identical except for a few less cpu use for the t2 item)
just so you know cap recharge rate is decreased using this items

usually T2s are cheaper than their meta level 4 counterparts too.

Do they have shields? If so, the TIE wins. One of the supposed reasons TIE's kick ass is the lack of shielding; if the pilot wants to live, they better fucking learn.

they don't have a whole lot of shields or armor
they are designed to carry pilots from one place to another, they have no weaponry or defensive capabilities, other than the fact that they are fast.
