Toowoomba Flood 2011.01.10

I'm sorry, but even if the people in that video are being a bit stupid, it's not funny. Over 20 people have died in the flooding in the last month or so, including close relatives to family friends over in Toowoomba where that video was. Now it's covering quite a few suburbs near where I live (apparently a third of Ipswich will be covered), and while we'll probably be safe from the water ourselves, we may well get water/power/net/phone outages for a while when the Bremer River goes past the 1974 flood level today that was our previous worst since the late 1800s. So yeah, I don't want to sound a bit grumpy, but it just isn't on to be posting a disaster (in this case the worst flooding our state has had overall) in the lulz thread.

edit: Heck, I just heard that my dad's main office building had water up to its carpark around midnight, so with the water rising a few more metres after that most of the important stuff will be covered.

And I found the flood thing funny, because I grew up in Louisiana with hurricanes and you don't park your car next to a goddamn ditch during heavy rain, my finding it funny was based on that and just that, I have no other thoughts on it, if you didn't fund it funny oh well I did. No one (in the video) got hurt.
