I'm tired of using my 360 headset for ventrillo on my PC. Plus my cat chewed through the wire on the controller, so I can't use it anyway. You guys know any decent midrange headsets? I'm think $20-50, somewhere in that price range.

Here's a few suggestions to get you started. just depends if you want over the  head or behind the head, and which kind of plug you want MiniJack , or USB.

Maybe it's just the way I wear them, but I found that behind the head ones chaffed the tops of my ears (where they go around). Thankfully I tend to keep short hair so over the head ones aren't too much of an issue.

I'd recommend my headset, but it really isn't that great. It's a $20 bargain bin thing. :p

i've got the plantronics .audio 365's and they do a pretty good job.

http://www.plantronics.com/north_america.../audio-365

they're fairly cheapcheap so they're easily replaceable in the far future if they ever break.

Mine are some cheapass Cyber Acoustics I picked up at Wal-Mart for $20. The only reason they've ever caused me trouble is because the superlong cord gets caught under my chair and the wheels chafe off the sheathing, but other than that, they're wonderful. They don't sound so sharp for music, but if I want music I just unplug them and use my stereo.

I recently bought this headset and I like it a lot. I'm very used to wearing headphones and usually if you wear them too long your ears start to hurt, I don't have that with this headset even when I quit the game I was wearing them for I usually don't bother taking them off for a while. Also, I'm very impressed with the quality of the sound of both the mic and the headphones.

Signature temporarily out of order until I get off my lazy ass to fix it.

I'm with duck, Plantronic headsets take care of the job and they're not too expensive. Grab them off of newegg, not as expensive. Just make sure you get the correct model and input (like USB is thats your thing).

Looks like they've got a good warranty too. I only mention because the last expensive pair of headphones I bought died 3 times and had to be shipped at cost to get repaired. I eventually just said fuck it. I think I might pick up a pair of these. How comfortable are they? The headphones I have right now start to hurt after a few hours.  :-\

they're pretty comfortable. i've been through some long-ish titan quest sessions and they start to bug the top of my hair a little bit, but i just move the top forward slightly and all is well again.

I just use a cheap-ish Cyber Acoustics headset. Seems to do the job quite well. Smile

I use a $1 headset or a cheap boom mike that came with some headphones.  Only the finest for me.

I have a .Audio 350 and I wish I had spent a little more on a headset.. it's pretty cheap feeling and the audio quality isn't great.  Mic works pretty well though if I boost the gain on it,and they're fairly comfy.  I guess what I'm saying is spend a little more so you can get something of better quality.

Those are on sale at Best Buy right now.

I use a logitech one. $25, and it's pretty good quality.

However, I wish it was more comfortable. >_>

Which model you rocking? I've got the same set Ain and I think Dave use and, barring six hour sessions, they're pretty darn comfortable.
