hehe, I actually never make ice in the freezer no . Like i said, I've never had a reason to (I guess ice in the freezer would be one but I never use Ice for anything lol). It's just not common knowledge where I grew up, I know that's kind of hard to understand for you since it WAS common knowledge where you grew up and I understand that. Some things just vary from place to place

Slightly on-topic, if you live in the south where it never freezes, you really don't have a daily need to know the temperature at which water freezes. It's not like they have to deal with black ice or snow on the road on a regular basis.  If you have ever been below the bible belt when a surprise winter storm hits, you probably have seen how unprepared they are to drive in winter weather.
