We should repost current in-game names and loadouts to help people know who is who, helps with squad invites, and picking certs. Also, I like to spell out shit rather than acronyms to help soften the learning curve for those still promising to come out but never showing up.

Rumsfalled, BR10 (battle rank, the experience level), dropped harrasser for GROUND TRANSPORT:
Certs: ground transport, medium assault, Anti-vehicle, reinforced exo armor, medic, advanced medic.

Rumsfald, BR4, anti-air max suit, assualt buggy, engineering.

Also, I prefer to do my sniping with the lancer.

okay, this is just making me angry now. downloaded the trial installer no problem. and apparently I can't make a trial account. I made an account and everything. Let alone there isn't even an option to start planetside. there's also no files in the planetside folder even though the launchpad said it was downloading them. :/

if you have a saitek keyboard and don't see video, there's something you have to do to the hardware manager tree (disabling HID - Human Interface Device - drivers) to get the game to work. To date, noone has explained why this is the case, but it works.

If you can log in and play with no problems, then there's nothing to worry about.

As far as getting tutored, go through the VR training and then assraped for a day to get used to the controls, then show up on a PS saturday and we'll take care of you from there.

You'll be able to manage without someone helping you, but it's a lot easier with a guide.

Basically you have to disable to USB Human Interface devices associated with the keyboard in the device manager, this won't affect the keyboards functionality when doing anything else. I have no idea why Saitek's stuff causes this problem or why the solution works.

As for learning, there's people playing almost every night now, just sign on vent. Id recommend doing the training missions to get familiar with the User Interface and how the inventory and weapons systems work.

In news, Planetside looks fucking great at 1080p on a 42" TV.  The component hookup shows up a bit overbright and bleedy, which is terrible for a desktop, but actually ends up giving the game a sort of faux HDR fancy lighting look.




And also I may have to quit playing VS, simply on account of the commanders being absolute dipshit fuck retarded.  It seems getting lured off to an interfarm at Dagda where they occupy half your forces with five guys for a couple hours while the rest of your forces in real battles get torn apart is a daily happening now.  It never occurs to the idiots to not play the NC's fucking game and go hack everything on THEIR home continents when they pull this shit.
