Was in NYC this past weekend for a batchelor party getaway for my friend.  Had a blast!  One of the most memorable experiences ever in my life is Miss Keens (Keens Chophouse).

It is really true what they say, a picture is worth 1000 words and well this one says it all.

The actual stake house is like one of the oldest places to eat in nyc and well here are some pictures.

This bar is amazing it have over 1600+ kinds of ScotchSmile  I would be a fool if i didnt had me a 32 year old scotch.

The lamb room is also amazing!  Every where you go there are these cork pipes on the ceiling.  Apparently these were issued to people who wanted to become a life time members for 5$ back in 1800s.  They would smoke it and donate them backSmile

I was stunned on how many pipes were there!  Fricking amazing!

The following link is to the website and some more pictures http://www.keens.com/More/Photos/

If anyone is in the area, i strongly recommend for a good time.

How rude of me. I forgot that you needed directions.

Back on topic, how much was the 32 year, and how did it taste?

The actual prices were not too bad.  But the prices on scotch were pricey.  Anywhere from 20 to 300(on single mold) and some are in 1300 areas.

I have tried the 32 year old 12 and 18th.  The 32 year old tasted a little too strong for me and it had very strong/sweet after taste. The 12 year old was my faivorite (got 4 orders of itSmile ) Now the difference with this one and the 32 year old one was that this one was much smoother and very little hint of honey, i think.  Just a little smudge of it.  Really good for you... if you know what i mean. HAHAH. The 18 year old was ok for me.  Very high content of alcohol and had a ruberish taste.  Not my cup of tea.  Tho when i first started to drink thats what i was going for.  Funny.... as more and more you drink scotch the more you aquire a taste to it and find your own range.

I should tell my dad for next time he visits NYC, he's crazy about scotch.  To me it kinda tastes like licking a wood barrel.

IWG: Nice. Did you have any of their steak / chops, or were you just on the liquid diet?

Wow, that looks fucking awesome.  On the subject of Scotch, if you want something palatable but can't afford to sell your soul, LePhroaig Quarter Cask is half way decent (~$65 USD/750 mL).

<+Karrde> welp, time to learn some basic patterning skills
<@Negate> 12121212121212121212
<@Negate> there is a simple pattern
<+Karrde> I changed my mind.  Gonna cosplay as a gay demon from hell and get negate raped instead XD
<+Caffeine`work> Karrde: Gay demon? Why would you need to cosplay just go as yourself
<+FlyingMongoose> Caffeine`work: Karrde would actually have to tone it down some.

I had Legendary Mutton Chop.

Basically a spinal sectional of a cow. http://biggestmenu.com/rdr/NY/New-York/7...Chop-59602
What makes this one diffrent from other steaks is the mint jelly.  Gives that sweet and well minty flavor to the meat.

Your absolutely right, my mistake.  its 10:16 in the morning and i was up at 5 so, sorry.
However, to continue about my trip to NYC...
Well we have visited another one of the old and best German restaurants.http://www.heidelbergrestaurant.com/ Hidelbergs website is under contraction but here is a link to a semi truthful review http://www.menupages.com/restaurants/hei...estaurant/
The second review ... just ignore it.  I ll explain why.

We got there about 8 pm,  let me just quickly remind you that we were there on a bachelor party and that day we started to drink at 11 am or so.  Anyways, so we get there at 8 and well these guys don’t do reservations so we couldn’t call ahead.  My friend Richard (the guy who is getting married) runs in and tries to get us a table outside while me and Don(our friend) smoke some buds.  While standing outside (weather was perfect, in mid 70s) we noticed a large party of what i like to call kids.  These were 22-24 year olds douche bags from Cape Cod (MA).  How did we figured out they were from Cape Cod.  Well we live in the same state so we can tell.> <  Plus they were bitching on how Cape Cod was good place to live and blah blah.  The condition of these kids..... Well let me put it this way.  None of these kids could of gotten laid that night, totally trashed.  They had the 2 liter boots of German beer and well they were behaving highly inappropriate for the atmosphere.  They were wrapping up to leave and well Richard thought it would be a good idea to stand right behind them so we can get their spot right a way when they leave.  After about 20 minutes of standing outside and half a pack of camel hard pack those fuckers finally left.  We got the very serious vibe that the owners didn’t like them one bit.
So we got a table and ordered some beers and few bottles of vine.  Since none of us ever been in German restoring... we really didn’t know what to order, but we knew Germans were famous for their sausages and after meal snaps.  We ordered the compilation platter for 3 and some chicken dish.  Amazing!  The sausages were very good.  Don’t ask me i have no clue what i ate. lol  So the after dinner comes and we ordered following STROH Original 80 http://www.stroh.co.uk/stroh/stroh_original.htm#80.  Stroh is a rum.  Comes in 40 60 and 80 proof.  You can imagine which one we drank.  It comes in a shot glass and well drinking it was surely close to insane.  There is no way i could of shot this just like that, so i ve ended up sipping it and so were my friends.  When i was young and stupid i used to drink 151 Bacardi straight up.  Well this is 160 and there is no way i am shooting that.  The smell of it itself is enough to knock you on your ass.  Anyways, as we sit there and eat and drink Stroh, 2 women sat close by to us and we all started to talk,  just randomly lol.  One name was Rie and the other was Meg.  Rie actually lives across the street and Meg is her best friend from 4th grade.  Amaizing women and fun to talk to.  So much down to earth.  After we told them we are from Mass they got even friendlier.  So as we continue talking to them, another couple came in and sat behind us and started to talk to us hahahaha.  Jakie and Tom i think their names were.    We found out random info from them as where they were both from and how they met and all that jazz.  Next thing you know, our waited comes up with a tray full of Stroh shots!  Then he says.. Surprise!!!  So 4 of us, 2 women on the left and a couple on the back of us ended up pretty much moving tables together and drinking.  The best part was.... the waiter actually joined us!  He sat down with us and drank and just talkedSmile  Again, this was an outside patio and as people walking by and looking at us, laughing and stopping to say hi.

Amazing time!  Thank you Heidelberg restaurant, Stroh and Franky (the waiter)
