I've just been messing around with a few ideas for a while, nothing serious.  But I was looking at the wiki and saw an interesting concept no one's really used.  It's called a Cyclic Capture Point Map and it sounds pretty interesting.  I'm thinking eight control points arranged in a large octagon with an unoccupied base in the center that connects them all in various ways.  Spawn rooms would change as the players captured more points.  I'll have to think of something interesting to prevent spawn camping, like teleporting players in spawn to a random place if the spawn switches to the other team.  Moar details later.
Sounds interesting in theory.  I'd like to try one to see how in works in practice.

There's a CCP map on FPSBanana. Got fairly good feedback so might be worth a try, see how it plays.
