I'm trying to find a decently cheap hotel/motel for a night next month so me and chick can go for a weekend, but all I'm seeing are 200$ a night rooms. Just curious to know if anyone knows of a decent Best Western/Super 8 type hotel that would run me like 80-120, or at the least under 200.
is this a new chick already?  :o
I dunno about VA Beach/Norfolk, but when I was in Richmond for business my room was $55 for an 'extended stay' type place with a kitchenette and fridge

Nah, friend from high school. Five of us go every year and usually do a timeshare, and split it, and she covered me last year. We just found out the dude who does the timeshare with us can't come this year, so we're just going to do two rooms and I'm stuck paying for her this time. =\

It's beach location that does it, waterfront stuff runs like 300$ a night. I actually found a Best Western in Norfolk about 10 miles from the beach that is $100 a night, but I'm trying to see if anyone knows any of those little hidden motel/hotels where we could be within a mile or two of the beach for the sake of not paying ridiculous amounts for parking. We're only going to be in the rooms a total of like 5 hours a night anyways, so it's not like we need anything fancy.
I can only vouch for one, where I stay offseason when I'm visiting my customer in VA Beach, but it's waterfront and probably expensive as hell. It's <$100/night offseason though :/

Let me call my coworker who works at that customer all the time (he stays on his boat now, but he might know a place from before he bought his boat).

[edit]
Quality Inn Pavillion is where he used to stay, it was $60-70 offseason so it should be $120-150 onseason but he wasn't sure. It's about 3-4 blocks from the beach, on 22nd street.

If you want even cheaper (shadier) places, there are two: Knight's Inn and Castle Motel. Knight's Inn was $40/night two weeks ago (another coworker got kicked out of his apt and had to stay there for a few days), I'm not sure if they've ramped up their prices even more since then but it might be worth looking. Castle Motel, in my cursory search, looks like it no longer exists, and rightly so. They both should be about the same distance or a little closer to the beach than Quality Inn Pavillion, but they're up on 30th street.

Hope that helps.

Pretty sure I checked them already and they were like 300. Imo hook me up with one of those frequent hotel visitor deals. :o

check out my edit, I was talking to my coworker when you replied Tongue

also, ya I have a crapton of points on my frequent guest thing for Quality Inn from when I used to stay there back in Nov-Jan but I'm hoarding them for myself ;x
:< Me love you long time :o

Might end up staying at the pavilion, it's got some rooms for around 150 a night which is pretty decent for being such a short distance from the beach and the boardwalk and all. Appreciate the links there at0m.
