so gimmie some suggestion

I do not like anything int he style of anime, or any JRPGS aside from chrono trigger for some reason

so no:

pheonic wright
ace appolo
persona or whatever
FFIV

anyone got some suggestions that done include anything pigmask or versus splooge over?

no offence, its just not my thing.
if you like tower defense there was this one I played that was really good.  But I forgot the name so NM.

Wait I remember is - Lock's Quest.  It's basically tower defense with a lot of other stuff and a decent story.
Contra 4 - the manliest of all manly games
Pokemans Gold/Silver Remake (when it comes out)
New Mario Bros
Eh, to each their own. You might like Contra 4, but that depends if your willing to put the time into it, as it is balls out hard (but badass as well). Professor Layton, Elite Beat Agents and Advance Wars DS are all fantastic, but I'm not sure if their to animu for you. Hotel Dusk is very awesome, and I think you'd really the main character. Rhythm Heaven is fun, provided you have a sense of beat which I tragically lack, but it has a very quirky Japanese style. If you liked Wario Ware though you'll be fine, as it's basically that (by the same people as well) Super Mario 64 DS (or whatever it's called) is a pretty great port of the original. Super Princes Peach is surprisingly fun if you dig platformers. And though I have yet to play it Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is supposed to be rather great.

Hope some of these help!
Moero! Osu! Tatake! Ouendan! is also good if you can put up with moonspeak. It's the exact same gameplay as EBA, but...well, Japanese. And thus harder.

From that I think EBA might be a better fit.

this

I thought Ouendan 2 was a LOT easier than the first one, easier than EBA...except for the hardest difficulty, which was harder than EBA's hardest difficulty. :<
well, you've said what games you don't like, what are examples of stuff you do like?
Any advance wars game for the DS=win
Advance Wars Days of Ruin is less anime-looking. It IS Turn-Based Strategy though. Another good Turn based strategy game is Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon.

For Shooting, MOON and Dementium are pretty good. Also, CORE maybe if it ever comes out.
I like the Castlevania games (anime style is in character portraits only and that's only in Dawn of Souls). They're action-platforming, with RPG elements only to help increase damage.
kk i aquired prof layton, and i hate the art style and i can tell its french, but im loving the puzzles, for an ill educated guy im pretty good with problem solving and logic, and its fun. but the reason i need to get more DS games is cause m goin to scotland next week for some boring shit, and i need something to do in the car ride over, i will have finished this by now.

i allways have pokemon to fall back on, never finished diamond.

so yeah i like puzzles, and things where i have to draw.

not a mssive fan of RTS, but im gonna give lego battles a go.

I've heard it's kind of awful Sad
I heard drawn to life was good.
Ketsui: Death Label

Don't get confused by the anime screens, the game don't have any of them while playing, only when you beat a stage
The Dark Spire will kick your ass if you are looking for an old-school "western" style RPG.
Puzzles? Might I suggest Henry Hatsworth and the Puzzling Adventure? It might sound and look kinda kiddish, but it's fun. Basically you play a platformer game, and every so often you have to switch to the bottom screen to play puzzles to either kill enemies, heal, or use power-ups. It gets quite difficult later on. The puzzle is pretty much like whatever Pokemon Puzzle League was based on (Panel de Pon maybe? I forget the name), so it's decent.
Oh, maybe Puzzle Quest or Galactrix. They're like bejeweled games, but you have to kill opponents. There's demos of them on the PC too, so you can try them out before you buy it if you want.
Meteos, if you don't already have it.  It's pretty awesome and a good timekiller.  Try and line up 3 blocks of the same type, and then they ignite and blast off blocks above them.  You try and push blocks onto your opponents play place till they get overrun.
