Play it now.

It's awesome.  Basically an FPS puzzler like Portal, except with HL2, and that's pretty much this.

There's no gun combat (it's only action puzzles), but the action puzzles are fucking good, intense, fun, etc.

It's also got some random slapstick humor that's pretty good at points.

Hands down the best SP mod I've played since Matto mod for FarCry and MINERVA, lasts about 2-3 hours too.

Did I mention it looks awesome?

Here's a nice quote from RPS

Quote:R&D’s hook is that it’s essentially non-combative. Yep – you go without guns throughout (bar the ol’ Gravity jobbie, but hey, that’s more about construction than destruction here). Sure, you can tell an Antlion to claw someone to death or arrange to squash men with falling girders, but you’re definitely not Edward Pistolhands. It’s an environmental adventure game, taking the irregular physics and logic puzzles seen in HL2 itself and turning them into the game itself. Mazes, gravity, exploding microwaves and fire-retardant antlion carapaces all make an appearance – it’s very much a point’n’click adventure in an FPS engine.

Couple things I'd like to say.

1. Microwaves can be awesome.

2. The gnome :o

3. Everyone loves Mr. Whirly.

That said, everyone download this mod at once and learn to love Mr. Whirly too.
Will have to try this when I get home Smile

His controls would have been better if it wasn't for HL2's physics glitching out and getting all fubared with him at times (such as lightly touching the wall when not moving causing him do a burnout that takes 5 seconds to get out of).
slapstick is never funny

i will try this reguardless
It wasn't very slapstick-y I thought o.o.

The gravity gun puzzle was the best part I think :3
Slapstick is the only word I could think of.

Maybe I should just say "random" moments, such as the cat (you know what I'm talking about if you've seen it).  That part made me lol
Saw an Indie Nation about this on Dtoid. I'll have to check it out! If I can drag myself away from Pangya >.<
grr @ my main rig not working, now I have to prioritize a new graphics card over new hdd's grrr
It's defiantly one of the best single player mods I've seen so far though. The creators actually put a lot of time and effort to make sure that it not only plays well, but looks great. It's one of those puzzles games that really make you think outside the box. I liked how by not giving the player any weapons, it forces you to approach every situation from a completly different perspective.

Shame that as a puzzle game, it really has no playability.  Sad

Since when do mods require Episode 2?

since they use the OB engine for fancy particle effects and better foliage.

Fuck him indeed. He was so ossum I thought he was part of a puzzle. He was not, but fuck all if I knew that.

Best SP mod I've ever played. Absolutely terrific. If professionals did it, it would be as good as Portal.
Finally got around to playing this.  Fucking awesome.  Occasionally it was a little obtuse about where to go, but otherwise this could pass for an actual Valve spin-off product.  Really impressed how they managed to nail the sense of humour from the games with this.
