is the term yankee fucker a racism term?

it is in reguards to a certain race of people (americans) and the word fucker following it shows this phrase to be offensive, would this also count as a personal attack on an american if said directly to them?

It has the potential to be offensive, but certainly not racist. For starters, "American" is not a race, but a nationality.

Personally, (though not American) I'd say that it's slightly offensive, but not racist.

However I realize that this is just me and I don't get offended by the same things that other people do. We all deal with things differently.

Yankee is slang for American iirc, and I wouldn't go as far to think Americans are a race.

It holds as much weight as the person who hears it gives the word, just like every other term that could be considered offensive or racist.

In that regard, no. I don't but then again I've been desensitized after hearing Blues call me "faggot" for the last 2 years.

But yeah, the phrase itself isn't inherently offensive like fag or kike, but it can be used in such a context (as can almost any word)

Race doesn't exist, it has been proven over and over again.  But racism is just a group of people attacking another based on perceived differences.  There are plenty of derogatory terms attributed to people from a specific country, how offensive they are is pretty subjective.  Typically we just single out jewish and black people as being the ones racism applies to since they are perceived as having the hardest time of it.  But singling them out can be considered racist as well.

There really isn't a simple answer to this, the best thing to do is just warn -> mute/gag all offenders and kick -> ban those that are being especially nasty.

I guess it's offensive, depending on the situation, that is.
Racist? Surely not.

I don't mind being called a Canuck / Frenchie / Frog if it's in a conversation, with, let's say, some Newfie or some English.
But being called like that by someone I don't know at all; on a TF2 server, after that person might have understood where my accent is from, I would probably be really offended.
