some games are fucking shitting wrong colors randomly everywhere (Age of Empires 2, Cossacks: European Wars) when they worked fucking fine in XP with directx 8
but windows 7 (and vista, i've googled the age of empires thing, there's about 10 billion fucking people with the same problem and no fix) and its fucking shit directx 9 gives me red grass and purple fucking water
how do i force directx 8? duck told me to use rivatuner but I have no fucking clue how to.

Yeah, 7 is supposed to have some amazing backasswards compatability mode. Either way I think when I get my next comp, I'm gonna dual bbot 7 and XP.

Make it run in Windows XP mode.
