There is a bat flying around my house, any suggestions on how to get it out? Big Grin....
i had a bat in my garage once, i put a pet carrier with some fruit out there and waited for it

worked pretty well
yea the best way to get it out is set a trap. but if its night, and the room it is stuck in has a window, open the window and it should fly away within an hour or two (unless its raining then idk).  if it doesn't go away look at the bright side, you'll have less bugs in your house.

EDIT-if you haven't already, close it in one room, preferably one with a window.
Two words: tennis racket.
tame it
one word: shot gun

or... learn to live with it. Or... windows down, and lots of screaming and yelling and sonar and blankets.

tell him you need some medicine for your bat scratch fever
if you keep the window closed, then your bat will still be inside, but if you open it, more bats will come in

Sad

Turn off the lights and leave a path of exit open. He'll have an easier time finding his way out in the dark.

I think he meant that visible light might be worse because they are nocturnal.

Yes, and no bats are actually BLIND. Most have enough eyesight to perceive light and dark, as well as shapes and colours, AFAIK. I would be disoriented, too, if I spent my whole life living in a cave in the dark, leaving only at night to forage and...oh, wait.
