I'm pondering the purchase, it minimums at 256 vram, I have 128. Everything else checks out, so should I buy it?

Right now I'm thinking I'll buy all the fallouts and play 2 while I'm waiting for this to come in the mail:

what are your current specs? Because in order to actually play it and enjoy yourself you need a pretty beefy rig. I've had a similar 8600 in my gaming rig (before it burned out) and was able to play, but still had a pretty low FPS
Obligatory comment by me asking if you have played Fallout 1 or 2 yet

radeon x300 pentium 4 multithreaded 3ghz

I snag 30-50 on cod4 640x480 and I could live with 30 in fallout 3

I don't game much anymore TBH and I'm not wanting to spend much cash at all on anything so $30 for something that can play everything out today on low with 40-60 fps would be fine with me
i get 20-30 fps with medium/high settings and my comp sucks

Well, you could, you know, download the unofficial demo.

WISE FWOM YOUR GWAVE.

My buddy SlickWulf managed to get the lock picking skill book "Tumblers Today" from Vault 108.

Vault 108 lockpick book

There is no overkill. There is only "Open Fire" and "I Need to Reload".
I personally tried to run it once on an office rig on integrated graphics. (Same rig I have now, 2 GB RAM, 2.3 Ghz Processor, and the integrated card might as well have not existed.) It ran but I couldn't really do much, I had to use VATS for everything.

Added my Graphics card (RADEON HD 4800 series) and it runs just fine (Game recommends "Ultra High" but I highly recommended lowing the settings slightly, the game overshoots the settings. (Maybe because I'm on Vista...))

Also, find the d3d9.dll file... not sure what it is but my game runs smoother now.... SecuROM is being a bitch though.. (Dun makes me get up and find the bloody disk...)
