Be Right Back, Uninstalling

I'm in the beta. Anybody else?  I took the liberty of making a brb.uninstalling clan on there tag is limited to 3 letters, thus (BRB)

You should come try PS with us sometime, MAG is supposed to be a console-ized version with _scaled back_ battles  :-X

With less space right?  So far it's not too shabby.  Lots of commands for leaders to give and actual rewards for the squad to follow.

That's the game with like 256 Players in one game right?

Also i have a PS3 and no 360 so I'm definately getting it.

Is the whole no-one-on-psn-has-a-headset thing a problem, because something of that size would seem to demand squad communication.

It was a problem in Killzone and Resistance, and that's only 30 or so people, so yes, it is a problem

Yeah, all the PS3 Accessories are absurdly overpriced. One of my two dualshocks has been broken for a year, but I'm not about to shell out $50 to buy a new one :/

I keep on reading you can use your cellphone as a headset if it has bluetooth, but I've not been able to get it to work

edit: only successful story I read is one guy had his working for 3 minutes, but that was it. I guess you could buy any cheap bluetooth headset though, obviously you sacrifice quality but still

Any bluetooth headset works, I've had several cheap ones with it. Only problem is I keep losing them.

I had said I'd buy a PS3 when this thing comes out... guess I'm getting one for Christmas.

Don't mind me I'm just bitter that SOE never did anything with Planet Side despite having the only good working formula for a true MMOFPS. Screenshots look nice, its just coordinating people on that scale, especially with a console and voice chat only I would see as being incredibly difficult.

In planetside we called the unwashed masses of players 'the zerg' and they followed very predictable attack routes across the continent. Every once in a while you'd get a "smart" zerg that would listen to a commander broadcasting to everyone, but that rarely happens. It generally came down to 33% of the players being organized and pulling most of the weight while the rest ended up being cannon fodder.

If you are in the beta, you might want to comment on whatever forums they have they should add USB/Bluetooth keyboard support if they don't have it already, if anything for typing out chat orders to troops in lieu of voice chat.

Or be like UT3 and let you use full mouse and keyboard, and choose to play with people using m/kb or people playing with controllers

I have a beta code for this, any one want it?
