have most of the parts ordered
you guys think i should order a CPU fan? or is the stock fan fine? or should I continue to pursue my research of Liquid cooling?
a few days ago you were talking about water-cooling. not only are you not water-cooling, you're not even ordering a decent cpu-fan. makes no sense

if you're not overclocking the retail fan should be fine for you.

if you were planning on buying a third-party fan you should've just bought the white box one.

this is the fan i ordered
i might OC, not sure right now
i would rather just be safe and have a good fan
the cpu really cock blocked me man

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6819115202

and if you're really going to go that far on a computer at least pump it up to 6gb RAM

I love how you're spending that much on a 600w psu

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6817341018

while we're at it $70 more gets you the best monitor on the market, 22 inches though

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...Tpk=2233rz

still sticking with 120hz but for less than that 24 inch you had up there

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...Tpk=vx2265

i'm not really sure what a cpu has to do with cock blocking
but i already have the Phenom

also, i got a combo deal on the PSU and Case. the PSU is modular as well.

i also have 8 gigs of ram

and i picked that monitor because of the resolution
my bad on the RAM didn't see you were buying 2 units

it's cool, thanks for the extra POV though
if you're going that far at least get a nice headset and mouse too

good mice:
http://www.amazon.com/Razer-DeathAdder-I...047&sr=8-1
http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Performan...062&sr=1-1
http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-B75-0011...082&sr=1-1
http://www.fragyou.net/2006/11/17/ime-11-ss/ (I need to ask a friend where he ordered his 3 pack of this from)

headset:
http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD555-H...234&sr=8-3
http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-Microphone-...gy_e_img_b

keyboard is totally optional and much less of a difference than a mouse

and please, PLEASE if you buy a mouse other than those DO NOT get a laser mouse
(09-06-2009, 08:34 PM)darrrk link Wrote: [ -> ]and please, PLEASE if you buy a mouse other than those DO NOT get a laser mouse

uh why
laser mice for the most part suck

skip like hell

the logitech laser "gaming" mice have the sensor off center for some stupid reason

i like my current lazor mouse, and dark, it doesn't skip at all

in other news, Currently have a gamecom 355 or something from plantronics, don't plan on replacing it til it dies.
same thing with my copperhead, when it does eventually die, i'm going to the lachesis.

seriously, if you think laser mice skip, you're using a piece of shit. the only time it skips is when i have to clean the cat hair out of it.

oh

ok
dark would you like to have a sniper battle or something :Smile
I <3 my Razer Diamondback that I got off woot forever ago. It's an infrared optical, nonlaser. Also, intellimice are fucking awesome, both Caff & I used to swear by those for gaming. They almost never fucking break, its amazing. I only replaced mine because this one is slightly more sensitive, has more buttons but is still ambidextrous, and has BLUE LEDS OMG
i like bashing dark as much as the next guy but he's pretty much right on the money, lasers skip (it's incredibly noticeable if you use low sens). Having better aim doesn't change that james Tongue)

if you haven't noticed by now you probably never will, in which case it doesn't really matter what me or dark say (unless you just like to spend money). I hear that ir mice are the best, but i've never gotten to try one out myself so take that with a grain of salt

edit: if all you care about is dpi (lol) you can always buy a mamba james Tongue
