Oh so apparently you get a key for the game which means you don't need to use D2D at all which means it is gewd.

It won't be unless you mod it. Most importantly the mod that unlocks the limits for units in a battle at once. And it takes a bit of learning to get to the point where you fight in battles that big.
The game owns once you get the hang of it.
