When I try to boot up my computer it blue screens after windows loading screen goes for about 1 second. And if I try to boot in safe mode it goes right back to the begining of booting up.
Anyone got anything?
Its lookling like I might have to reformat.
Sounds like your hard drive might be borked.  :-[
You could try a format/reinstall though.
Boot to safemode (command prompt) first, try chkdsk-r
I've had this problem before. Reformatting should work. I sure do hope you keep your Windows XP and Drivers discs at the ready 8D (I know I sure do...)

He will need to use a windows install disc and boot into the 'Recovery Console'.
To use safe mode or safe mode with command prompt, the machine must first be able to boot.

I have this problem almost daily at work. Only for us it's due to failing hard drives. Don't buy Hitatchi, ever.

3clipse, once you have restored access to windows, I highly suggest that you download the approate Drive Fitness tool from your repsective Hard Drive vendor and give it a spin.
mkay well my dad and i couldnt get it to boot at all so its scanning the drives right now. Its still looking like were gonna have to reformat, so we are gonna take as much data off as we can and install windows 7 and put all the data back on there.
I would recommend getting a new drive rather than putting all of you data back on the same one (assuming you can get any off of it.) Drives are cheap enough that it's not worth the risk.

You should have brought a new hard drive, when I have irreparable OS or HDD failure, before it completely goes bad, I'll install an OS onto another HDD then pull whatever data I can off the other drive.

That and I keep ALL my stuff on an non-OS drive, should windows ever kick the bucket, all my stuff is safe.
