Borderlands isn't working. Launch makes me start downloading the "Windows VC Redist Package." I've tried going directly into the Steam file to download it. I've tried going to a site to download it. And obviously tried to download it directly off steam. Most of these Geoff has helped me do (<3.) So, any suggestions OTHER than switch from Vista.
I had the exact same problem. I reinstalled and it worked flawlessly.

So I reinstalled it... it didn't work
tried it again. I have yet to find out if it worked but it's going through the same pattern as the last time, so i doubt it did
Delete the folder and try again?
If that doesn't work, you'll need to take it up with valve.

You have the latest visual C++ redistributable file? Go download if not. Do it anyway. Yours might be out dated.
