So far it is very very good.
Good: The dialog is superb.
Combat is awesome, think a more refined KOTOR with cool kill animations.
Characters are interesting.
You can have gay romances.
Bad:Â At random times it slows way down and I have to restart it, doesn't happen often but still annoying.
There's paid for DLC on the release day, fuck money grubbing EA.
Load times are sometimes ridiculously long.
Meh: Battles often rely on how many health potions you brought.
Story so far is a bit cliche.
You can't skip dialog. Fine now but I imagine it'll be annoying in my second playthrough.
Overall I highly recommend this game if you have a powerful computer. I don't want to think about what the load times would be with a shitty PC.
Picked up 360 version because my PC can't run it, enjoying it. I can skip dialog in 360 version, would imagine it's there somewhere in PC version. They just don't tell you what it is. ps the wardog you get is awesome if you did the sidequest to heal him when you're in the gray warden camp

ps3 runs worse but has better loading times, look at the kotaku review, they reviewed the ps3 version

I wanna try this game out sometime or another, but probibly not till after xmas.
I hear the console versions blow compaired to PC, like they axed some stuff and the combat is frustrating as hell using a controller or something.
I've never played Baulder's Gate or KOTOR or anything like that so this will be my first "jump" into this kind of western RPG if I decide to get it. From what I hear of the combat system, I'm not exactly thrilled about it.
Bought it, Crystal will probably play it before I do though as I'm at work.

Yeah, skip dialog is escape. The dog is ok, but I bet his small number of abilities will gimp him later on. Right now I'm using Alistair, Leliana, and Morrigan. I'm gonna switch out Morrigan as soon as I get another mage, she keeps giving me -rep when I do anything nice for anyone.

Morrigan is awesome but then again I hate Alistair and I can piss him off by having a relationship with Morrigan. Didn't meet Leliana yet. Great game though... Bioware delivers yet again...

[/quote]you only get -rep with her, I don't think there's a universal morality meter like in kotor/mass effect, it's just different characters like you if you do nice things, etc
there's a little meter thing under each of your party members that tells you how much they approve or disapprove of yoru actions, too much disaproval and they leave , approval provides combat bonuses
also to be added on the bad side:
terrible animations and lip-sync

The Mages Tower is amazing. I won't spoil anything, but the Fade is a really interesting place. I recommend going there first, you can get a whole bunch of permanent attribute increases. Also, the game gets a whole lot easier once you get sleep/waking nightmare for Morrigan. I just have her do crowd control most of the battle and everyone else does damage.
I'm digging this game. Wife is elven mage, I'm a human rogue. Rogue's kick ass.

You haven't played a RPG game until you give this a try. I was very impressed with it. Constantly looking forward to playing it time and again. Dragons are occasional across the story but be prepared when you go up against one.
