My adapter is terrible, it is practically a usb drive made to look like an adapter, whenever my computer goes into "Power Saving Mode" where the screens off but the computer is still on, it turns off my internet, so when i go back on i have to unplug the adapter then put it in again, i do this about 4-5 times before it starts to work. So does anybody know of a good adapter for windows 7?
wtf is this shit
take a few seconds to clearly type out wtf is going on

I'm going to assume you are talking about a wireless network adapter.
First of all, how is it a USB hard drive made to look like an adapter.
Don't muddy shit up for the people who are going to try to help you.

Have you gotten the latest drivers for the card?
Are they designed for 7 or are they the old Vista drivers?

Have you Googled this specific problem to look for possible solutions?
Wait...what are you talking about?

because i can take the actual Adapter part of it out of the stand, that part looks just like a USB drive. It's suppose to work for Windows 7, i have googled it and nothing helped. And yes it is a wireless network adapter. I just got this because my old one wouuldn't work for windows 7, but at least that one wasn't god awful. I'm just asking if you know of a good one, i don't see why you are getting so pissed about it.
turn off power saving mode
fuck the environment
if it needed saving it would save itself
1) Take your USB network adapter, throw it away.
2) Plug your computer to your network using ethernet and the retard-idly reliable 100BaseTX adapter that I know came on your motherboard as a stock 'feature'.

3) Don't tell me that you need wireless, you are not trying hard enough.

you can go hardcore like what i did with my xbox, take 100 yards of ethernet cable and run it through your fucking floor

That 'feature' needs a password which i do not have
I'm looking around and i don't even have that feature
you have an ethernet port. that's what he means.
he's saying to use hardwire direct connection to the modem/router and not use wireless.

haha poor turtle was yelling about "adapters" in l4d and no1 knew what he was talking about!!!!  I see now.. I'll give you a hint... the reason no one knew - is because it's not a good way to connect... period.  Use a stardard setup - if you HAVE to connect wirelessly buy a card.. they aren't that expensive... but mostly what Hek said...

What kind of PC do you have?? ie. laptop/desktop and if you made it yourself or it has a model number..  we can help you find things... especially with black friday.. something like this will probably be very cheap

There are NO good USB network adapters of any sort

.

If you must go with wireless, purchase a PCI or PCI-E Proxim or Seano card.
