For those of you who don't know Planetside is an MMOFPS, one of only two true MMOFPS games. There is no instanced combat, everything is live fire player versus player, and level is meaningless, if you can shoot better than someone with a maxed character, you can kill them.

Meh, I'm going for the 14 day trial again.
I could be down, depends on if my schedule clears up. If I stop getting appraisals I will definitely be looking to play lots of games.
I fully support the revival of hot drop/picknicing squads. I will be there.
Maybe. I wish we could hear more than that little hint about "Planetside Next". I am totally getting in on the ground floor if the game sees a proper revival.

I thought it already worked on vista? It ran fine on my machine.

I have a sneaking suspicion that they are/will try to revive this game both to generate buzz for PS2 and to generate money to develop it. Plus we are likely candidates to beta test some of their new backend code (aka it now runs on vista and W7 hmmmmm).

Last night in the 30 min or so Angry and I screwed around we toasted 2 galaxy gun ships and a BFR hot dropping

Also Angry, Goffin, and myself fagged it up last night, we jumped a platoon of galaxy gunships (3 of them, crew of 6), and we killed the entire crew of once and I GTA'd the other.
For those of you that don't know a galaxy gunship is basically an AC-130
