My new desktop has arrived today and will be replacing my 5 year old laptop which can barely run TF2 on minimum settings.

The only thing I need now are a decent keyboard and possibly a new mouse (judging from a thread I found in here, either the Logitech G5 or one of its derivatives or the Logitch G9 would work the best).

So yeah.

Keyboard recommendations, please.

standard dell

as for mouse, i personally prefer the razer deathadder
These are indestructible

Keyboards really aren't all that important. Go with whatever you feel like. I use an old HP.

I second Zane on the Deathadder, that's an amazing bit of tech.
In all honesty, keyboards aren't something that you need to shell out big bucks on for good performance. For a very long time I used a $5 Lite-on keyboard, and that was fine. I guess if you want to get something better, some things to consider would be backlighting and noise. Some people love backlit keyboards whereas some people hate keyboards that clack loudly (myself belonging to both demographics). If you want a simple backlit keyboard, then maybe one of the Saitek Eclipses. I use a Razer Lycosa, which is nice but nowhere near being worth $80.

If those aren't good enough for you, take a look at this: http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/keyboards-mice/cb22/

And if you happen to be richer than Versus, try this: http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/keyboards-mice/9836/

I don't think I need a keyboard more expensive than my computer, thanks. Haha.

Cheapest Logitech available at your local store.

If you want to go the extra mile, nab a G15. At one point I had four of them.

LCDSirReals is an awesome plugin, until it starts leaking 2GB+ of memory... Tongue

Is that thing PC/AT? that connector looks almost bulky enough...

Anyway, I haz a Saitek Eclipse II, and it's frigging awesome, it's onboard illumination is pretty bright and mostly even, except under the numpad and pgup/pgdn blocks, where it's a little dim around the very edges. Plus the light is dimmable.

Also MAKE SURE it's a USB keyboard and NOT PS/2 plugged.

Totally agree. I use a Deathadder, and I got Liquid one for Christmas. It's just a really solid mouse for FPS play; not so much for MMO play.

I use the Razer Lycosa, but I haven't noticed any incredible increase in performance since I got it. It does look really cool though, so why not.

changed it so hopefully that works
lol palm grip
personally i go with the claw grip, or maybe the shocker
I've got some spare gift card money and thinking about getting a G15, any real difference between the $76 one and the $199 one?

Edit: of course since the only thing I really would want it for over this dell is gaming I could just get that G13 gamepad?
