Not sure if there are any "football" fans left on the boards but I would highly recommend this game. I was skeptical at first about this with Football Manger 2009, seeing as how most sports sim games fall short, but this has everything.
I guess you could use your imagination about the basics of the game: recruit players, get promoted, get hired onto better clubs, try to win National titles, etc. But there is just so much to control. You can request Salary cap increases, changes to your stadium, scouting assignments, and anything else you could possibly do as a football manager in real life. Plus there is a nifty editor that comes with the game so if you want to create some players or just possibly cheat and make your own team you have that option.
Once again not sure if football interests so many people around here these days but you can also set up multi player leagues online so that would possibly be a fun thing to do, no?Â
