I do not want to use Norton any more, since I got a new hard drive.
The best protection is a careful user.

Besides that, I just read an analysis of current market anti-virus apps, and G Data came out on top by a margin.

HANDS DOWN. I've tried MANY virus protection software.. ALL bog down my system. This is definitely the most superior to anything... and is very fast Big Grin
I use Microsoft Security Essentials.

virus removal is what i get paid to do nowadays.
i see many many computers per day with virii on them.

Careful downloading and Spybot S&D and I haven't gotten a virus, in what, 3 years?

Also, if it's a relatively small file (50MB>), you can upload it to www.virustotal.com[url=http://][/url] where all of the top anti-virus scanners will scan it online.
