NS was one of the more popular thursday night mod nod
I'm really surprised it runs on my comp Tongue  As for more information, been living under a rock? ;P  It's the sequel to NS.  Gotta preorder to get engine test and alpha editor access though.  Game is looking pretty good so far.  But yeah, they're just looking to collect as much performance data as possible with this.
ya, basically "give us lots of money. we promise we won't pull a ForNever on you. we even have an engine test to see how shitty this game will run on your computer that will be 3-4 years old and defunct by the time we actually release"
To anyone who has the test right now;

Hopefully you will finally get your preorder by 2020.
I really hope they release this game soon, it would make for a great game for the community.

I think that's a bit unfair, duck.  If it was EA saying preorder a game while it's still in development, that's one thing.  But a small company using preorders to finance the game is ok by me.  It's damn hard to break into the gaming industry.  They've also already produced and supported a game in the past.  People need to support developers like this since if you don't, they're never going to have the capital to seriously focus on development.  Unless you're satisfied with companies just making more and more derivative FPS games that are mostly console ports.

Honestly I would say 2011 at the latest. They aren't Valve so they don't have to make hats while creating a new game.

I like Charlie Cleveland because he's gay.

Me too. Plus, NS1 was free, and I had so much fucking fun on that, now that I have disposable income, I feel like I am paying back for that. Obviously, I want NS2. But if it never came out, I wouldn't feel he/they owed me anything.

No, they need to push it back to 2012 so they can add functionality for hats.  I want my Skulk Mohawk (Skulkhawk?)

But If I recall correctly, NS2 isn't being made by the NS1 team because there was some sort of hijacking and theft of the domain/property of the original NS team?

Your counter point is dodging the merit of ducks point.

cited reference  http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.ph...id=2757484

this works both ways becuase its A) a startup studio (your stance) and 2: Also an EA game.

!: small startup company takes preorders and admitedly did  deliver a game (but was so bugged and missing promised features )

your second point about companies making more derivative FPS games was also hollow because this is a sequel to a derivative FPS game Tongue
Ns1 isn't derivative - in the sense that I mean old tired gameplay.  There's still far and away few FPS with heavy RTS elements.  IE having players actually playing all roles.  And the engine test is exactly what they said it is.  It isn't an alpha or anything like that.  And are you certain that UWE has anything to do with EA.  I can't find any reference whatsoever.  I guess my overall point is we should support small studios and be willing to risk our money on getting no, or poor returns.  In the grand scheme of things, $40 isn't a lot of money.

i get your point.
but i don't respect the logic.

on a different topic,
i'm making a new PC game, would you like to invest early for alpha access?
