Yesterday we set up a new Bad Company 2 server with the game server host Nuclear Fallout. This server is much higher performance and should fix a majority of our lag and hit detection problems. However until the client update is released various network problems will make it hard to maintain population so all are encouraged to seed. As it is superior it has taken the name Gold Version with our original server downgraded to Silver Version. To find our servers just do a server search for "brb" and both should come up, or use the information below.

The old server has been canceled but it is paid for through 5/5. I've downgraded it to R8 for easy seeding using the clean soldier trick. Overall it will probably best serve as a Squad Rush and Squad Deathmatch server, but I'm leaving it up to you to help find the best uses for it. We can run some squad scrimmages there, use it to goof off in, or give pilot training. It's up to you. As always make sure to use mumble when you want to play even if our server is empty at the time. It is still the best way to gauge how many BRBUers are online and playing at any given time.

1. Just going to say, if I am going to play a serious match, I want to play on the server with hit detection, not the other way around. While it is frustrating to miss your knife in normal game-play, it is unbelievable to have the same thing happen in match play. Keeping it as a "goof-off" server is fine, as long as it doesn't hurt our seeding.
2. You can delete this post so we don’t clutter up the “read first” area.

Actually, this is the comments section for the front page, so anyone can feel free to post anything, don't consider it clutter Wink

I think the hit detection problem mostly happens under load so 16 and under should be fine. Although I have to admit I don't have evidence to back this premise but it was what I was thinking about when I wrote that.

Need to fix the names, this is incorrect. BRB != brb according to in game filter.

fffffffffffffffffffff does caps matter?
solution: use both?
It's prolly a good idea to follow the naming convention that we've been using for our existing servers.
