With all the nonsense of MW2 still going on such as getting another expensive DLC pack and the ongoing legal battle, Black Ops is coming out later this year.

Thankfully though, PC version is officially getting dedicated servers.

And for those that don't know, Black Ops, as far as we know is a Cold War era game set in multiple locations throughout that era, so I'm sure we'll get some vietnam action mixed in.

Here is the teaser...

Also for new information, Black Ops will have 4 Player Co-Op, alternate ammo choices, and crossbows...Explosive crossbow arrows...I like...

no one should ever like MORE explosive weapons in call of duty

But...EXPLOSIVE ARROWS!

Rambo explodes someone
MW2 technically had ammo choices, you could have FMJ ammo as an "attachment" Tongue

after watching that video, I will be ok with explosive arrows if they only explode after hitting someone

I assume they would go off on impact and would probably have a smaller blast radius than a grenade or rocket due to the size.  Won't know for awhile at least.
hope so

- Vehicles will return, but “not in the way you remember them from WaW”.

- There will be “dedicated co-op” with separate levels. Treyarch changed the subject when we asked about World at War’s hugely popular Nazi Zombies.

- A multiplayer beta’s being “considered”, Lamia told us with a literal wink.

- Treyarch will be improving mulitplayer by taking on feedback – even going so far as to openly acknowledge the under-the-map glitches that initially plagued World at War.

- Changes are being made to the matchmaking to “make it easier for [players] to get into games with their friends.”

- Multiplayer was up and running so early that some campaign levels were actually built from multiplayer maps.

- Create-a-Class 2.0 will allow you to customise yourself like never before. This should include kit and appearance items as well as perks.

Chopper action, customizable soldiers, and maybe/not maybe zombies? Game is sounding fun.
call of duty : how many times can we release the same game with minor differences will include a new battle arena where you can pit your pokemon against 100 new opponents--oh wait
get raped diglett

this is gonna own
I'm interested in the vehicles, if they are gonna try for bigger maps.  They talk about how the multiplayer was started so soon that multiplayer maps were turned into singleplayer maps.  A hint that maybe some of the maps are large for proper vehicle usage that doesn't mean slow as hell tanks only?  Maybe they want to dip into the waters of Battlefield a tad for a map or two and bring in the chopper flying and perhaps jeeps and stuff like that.  One or two epic scale maps would be awesome for big team games.
noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo not vehicles I don't want vehicles

reminds me of 64man COD pubs
Call of Duty '10. With this edition, we introduce a new character roster weapon selection and brand new way of organizing your team playing with your friends.

If they do it like WaW, it'll only be in a couple maps.  I'm pretty sure it'll stay infantry focused.

With the way IW fucked MW2, I almost agree.

WaW wasn't a bad game. They had some hiccups when it was released but once the dropping through the floor glitch was fixed, it was fine.
omg you completely misunderstood what I meant by that. I was just laughing at how absurd his claim was that Treyarch is even comparable to IW.

You can't credit Treyarch for WaW being a decent game when it was essentially a reskin of MW1, IW did all the heavy lifting for that one. You CAN hhowever, credit Treyarch with the absolutely abysmal COD: Big Red One and COD3, which they fucked up all on their own. Those 2 were absolutely fucking awful and no amount of re-skinning successful games can forgive you for those 2 travesties of the COD franchise
